It’s hard to look good in the summer if you’re smeared with sunscreen, and sometimes a girl just has to look her best at a backyard BBQ party. We tried Shiseido’s Tinted Moisture Protection which has an SPF of 20 and imparts great coverage and a healthy glow. After a couple of hours, our face was still dewy and we looked flawless. And that night we weren’t sunburned!

Summer is coming, and that means, if you are sun-loving like we are, you will be spending endless hours playing in the rays!
If you don’t feel like wearing a huge, floppy hat non-stop during daylight hours, it is a good idea to find a sunblock, which works for your skintype. Last summer we discovered Peter Thomas Roth’s Ultra Lite Oil-Free Sunblock in SPF 30, and it was love at first lather!

Rich enough to use as your daily moisturizer, it somehow sets so lite and sheer that you don’t even realize that you’re wearing a really hearty SPF. This product replaces synthetic chemicals with natural ingredients like calming aloe vera and moisturizing pro-vitamins, rendering it gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin.
The most appealing aspect of this product is such that it allows you to enjoy the summer sun without having to worry about the harmful affects of the skin-damaging UVA and UVB rays.
Mario Badescu’s Oil Free Moisturizer With Sunblock
At $26.00 a bottle, a price that is even lower in number than the SPF protection contained inside the bottle, this product will last you all summer long.
Prep Skin For Summer On A Budget

With spring in the air and summer trailing close behind, it is time to prep your skin for the increase of humidity and UV rays! Celebrity skin expert Lovely Isreal, Clinical Director and Principal of Skin by Lovely in Santa Monica, California, gave RadarOnline.com some exclusive advice on how to get your skin ready for the climate change!

Says Lovely, “As we age, we lose the ability for our skin cells to turnover and skin appears dull and discolored. Winter and fall bring dry, parched skin and spring through summer can bring acne and discolorations due an increase in humidity in the air and sun exposure. It is important to change out your products along with your wardrobe!”
These are the steps she suggests on how to frugally get your “glow” back.
Food For Your Face: Lush Fresh Farmacy
Posted on Apr 02, 2010 @ 06:43AM - Add a comment

The simplest way to describe Lush products? Food for your face! Packed with yummy and fresh ingredients, every time we cleanse, tone or moisturize, it feels like we are feeding a salad to our skin!

Our favorite product form the line is the Fresh Farmacy face soap, because it reduces redness and soothes the skin. We feel nostalgic over what attributes to pink color of the product, calamine, the natural ingredient, which took the itch out of our childhood skin from those unbearable summer bug bites. Chamomile, rose oil and tea tree oil, help to soothe the skin and control oil, while releasing a pleasant aromatic fragrance.
To use, splash warm water on your face and apply like any other bar soap. Once your skin is dry, spritz on Lush’s Tea Tree Water spray for extra cleaning and soothing. We promise, once you try one of Lush’s products, you too will be on the Lush bandwagon.
If you live near a Lush store, we suggest you experience the freshness first hand and allow the sales assistant to slice you a wedge off, as most of the store’s products are cut to order!
Celeb Skin Secret: Decleor Aroma Night Essential Balm

Sometimes moisturizer just isn’t enough to get the nourishing job done right! Since Carrie Underwood’s makeup artist swears by Declèor’s Aroma Night Essential Balm (she applies it to Carrie’s face the night before her performances), RadarOnline.com figured we would put the $69 “miracle balm”, filled with aromatic Essential Oils, to the test.

After scraping a small amount of the waxy balm in our hands, we warmed it up by rubbing our hands together before applying it to the face and neck, massaging it gently into the skin. Surprisingly, it absorbed almost completely (for some reason, it seemed like it would leave a grease-like layer, but it didn't), emitting a naturally wondrous aroma. The next day, our skin felt a little bit softer and hydrated, and within a week, people were noticing the change!
Our parched skin started feeling quenched again and the blotchy, red spots began to disappear, making us appear more rested than we actually were.

Who knew going green could make you beautiful? REN is a plant-based ingredient skincare line, which promotes effective products at no cost to the environment. RadarOnline.com sampled one of their fruit-based, chemical-free products, the Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask ($55), which promises to “rejuvenate skin without redness or irritation” by “loosening dead skin cells for removal.”

After applying a thick layer of the orange gel on our face, we sat back and let the fruit do the work (ingredients include Passion Fruit, Lemon, Grape, Mexican Papaya and Pineapple). The mask had a tingly, but non-irritating effect on the skin, and smelled delightful. After 10 minutes, we washed the mask off with cold water, and just as promised, our skin felt clean and smooth. Days later, the result was still visible: the skin felt soft and appeared less color-spotted.
