Simon Monjack has been buried next to late wife Brittany Murphy — but not before a final musical performance together.

About 75 friends and family members were in attendance as Monjack, who died Sunday, was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles on Thursday.

“It was Simon's wish to be laid to rest next to her," said family spokesman Roger Neal.
It was a private orthodox Jewish service and took place at the same memorial chapel where Murphy was eulogized in December after her sudden death.

A rendition of Murphy singing a rendition of “Smile,” accompanied by Simon on the piano, was played to mourners.
A photo of the couple also sat on Monjack’s casket.

"Sharon (Brittany’s mother) was very strong and spoke and about how much she loved Simon, and how now Simon and Brittany are together,” added Neal.
"She told them, 'I'll miss you my babies.' "

"She is feeling devastated by the loss of a daughter and a son-in-law in the space of six months."
Monjack died in the house he once shared with Murphy and her mother Sharon, who called 911 after finding him unconscious Sunday night.

The preliminary cause of death for Monjack has been listed as natural causes, however, the Los Angeles Coroner’s office is conducting an autopsy.

Murphy's mother Sharon found Monjack unconscious in the house he shared with Brittany. Sharon called 911 but by the time the paramedics arrived, he had already passed away.
An emotional Sharon is heard telling the dispatcher: "My son-in-law, he stopped breathing...he was just breathing and now he stopped breathing. He's sleeping." She added: "Hurry up, please!...He had fluid in his mouth...and he snored and then he stopped breathing." Sharon said she found Monjack on his back on his bed.

The dispatcher is heard walking Sharon though steps to assess Monjack's breathing and administer CPR.
No illegal drugs were found in the house but prescription drugs were present in the home.

A private funeral will be held for Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack on Thursday, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.
Monjack’s rep revealed that the ceremony will take place at 3 pm at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills and that Monjack will be buried next to his beloved wife, Brittany Murphy.
