Beyond his perma-scowl that comes from nine weeks of listening to Sanjaya-hopefuls singing, it's the unwrinkled appearance of Simon Cowell’s nearly fifty year old face which is up for scrutiny. So when his former girlfriend admitted on television that she had given Cowell a "face machine" for the past Christmas, our ears here at RadarOnline.com perked up! 

The machine in question is the Galvanic Spa System II from nu Skin. We ventured to Saffore's salon in West Hollywood to try it out. Without an accompanying facial this is not your total pampering experience.  It's more like an experience out of Star Trek or the Jetsons with a futuristic humming device (the galvanic) rubbed along the face and two gels each playing a different role. In short: the first uses charges to push the dirt out and the second uses charges to keep the ageLoc while the attendant places a hand on an exposed piece of skin to "ground the current."
