The two people involved in a car crash with Shia LaBeouf last summer, have had their cases settled, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
The horrific car crash happened in the early morning hours of July 27th, 2008 in Hollywood. Shia LaBeouf suffered injuries and his hand had to be operated on, when the car he was driving flipped over.
The crash allegedly occurred when Herbert Simon and Kimberly Bent ran a red light and LeBeouf subsequently hit their car.

Following the accident the couple was charged with misdemeanor lying to the police, after being accused of lying over who was driving the car at the time of the accident.
In August, Simon was cited for a vehicular infraction for running a red light, not because prosecutors were certain he was in the driver's seat, but because the car was registered in his name.

Herbert Simon plead no contest in Beverly Hills courtroom Friday morning to giving false information to a police officer, and was ordered to perform 15 days of community labor or Caltrans, and pay restitution to LaBeouf, and significant fines.
Kimberly Bent, was not required to enter a plea because her case will be dismissed on March 12th, 2010 if she successfully completes 60 hours of community service.
Richard Pintal, lawyer for Kimberly Bent, tells RadarOnline.com, "We are very pleased with the resolution because Ms. Bent will have no criminal conviction nor criminal record. We believe under the circumstances it was a fair and just result."

The twenty-four year old actress was born in the United Kingdom and lived in Germany until she was eight. She soon caught the acting bug and even wrote to venerable actor and director Kenneth Branagh when she was sixteen because she was so moved by his Henry V production. Branagh’s sister wrote back saying Branagh suggested she become an actress.
Mulligan took his advice and soon became the student head of drama at Woldingham School by the time she graduated. She took a year off before attending Reading University where she met Julian Fellowes who later put her up for the role of Kitty Bennett in Pride and Prejudice which she eventually won.
That wasn’t the only time she worked with fellow British starlet Kiera Knightley: they were also in Never Let Me Go together. She currently lives in London’s Covent Garden area.
