UPDATE: The State Attorney’s office said they will not charge Cindy Anthony with lying on the stand during her testimony.  “Our office is not pursuing perjury charges,” said Danielle Tavernier, a spokeswoman for the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office.

Casey Anthony is just days away from being released from jail after being found not guilty of killing her two-year-old daughter Caylee Marie, but her mother may be facing charges of lying during the hearing.

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings spoke on Tuesday in a press conference next to a large picture of Caylee.  “We’ve had discussion with the State Attorney’s Office…they will make a determination about [perjury charges] in the near future,” the sheriff said about Cindy Anthony being charged with perjury for her testimony during her daughter’s trial, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
