On last week’s episode of Shear Genius, the stylists were challenged to restyle eight Bridesmaid’s hairdos at a traditional Indian wedding, from the ceremony to reception. The result was the ultimate style transformation, which proves that sometimes, a hairdo change mid-party can be just as dramatic as a full wardrobe change.
LA SPOTLIGHT: The 15-Treatment To Silky, Shiny Hair
Nexxus Creative Director Kevin Mancuso put together four simple steps on how to take down an updo, and rework the hair to create a fun and flirty hairdo, like the winning look from last week’s episode.

-Take down updo by removing bobbi pins and accessories, then gently comb through hair with fingers to help detangle.
-Sweep hair to one side and use bobbi pins to secure in place.
-Us a large barrel curling iron to create random curls throughout loose sections of hair.
-Finish the look with a misting of strong-hold hairspray, like Nexxus Maxximum, to keep the style looking gorgeous.

Camila Alves, Matthew McConaughey's girlfriend and mother of his two children, helped Bravo reach some record ratings.

The Brazilian former model is the host of the the third season of Shear Genius, which doubled its ratings from the last season and recorded its highest rated season premiere ever.

According to Nielsen Media Research, Wednesday's premiere garnered 655,000 adults 18-49 and 1.097 total viewers, up 17 percent (vs. 558,000) and 23 percent (vs. 892,000) respectively compared to the season two premiere. Versus the prior four week time period, the show was up 59 percent among adults 18-49 and 55 percent among total viewers.

Who says you can't be beautiful and smart? Camilla Alves is pulling double duty, as the Brazilian model heads back to work as host for the third season of Bravo's Shear Genius.
Replacing Jaclyn Smith, this will be Alves' first high-profile gig since giving birth to she and Matthew McConaughey's baby boy Levi.
Agency reps for Alves confirm that Alves will topline the hair-stylist centered reality project, alongside tress masters Kim Vo and Jonathan Antin.
The lucky stylist too nab the Genius crown is awarded $100,000.
