Robert Michael O'Ryan, a Florida man convicted of stalking Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson -- and found to be insane at the time of the crime -- was sentenced Tuesday to a state mental hospital in California, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael E. Pastor said O'Ryan, 36, will be committed to Patton State Hospital for a maximum of five years.

Olympian gymnast Shawn Johnson broke her silence on Good Morning America Tuesday about her harrowing experience with a stalker who had planned to kidnap her, and how she eventually mustered up the courage to face him in court.
As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, on June 11, 36-year-old Florida native Robert O'Ryan was convicted on charges of felony stalking and commercial burglary after a 2009 incident in which he'd jumped the fences at CBS Television City in Los Angeles during filming of Dancing With the Stars (Johnson was a contestant on the show). In his car, police found two loaded guns, duct tape, a wooden club and a scary note he had written to the Olympic star.

And now that we've seen it, we don't believe it - so you be the judge.
Shawn Johnson, Olympic gold medalist and 2007 winner on Dancing With the Stars, does a back flip over a speeding bobsled.
It's part of an ad campaign for Nestle's called the Nestle Crunch Challenge and it's definitely a challenge.
Johnson won an Olympic gold medal
in gymnastics in 2008 and her athleticism is evident and impressive here - if the video is real.
At least one expert who viewed it told RadarOnline.com: "It's not real. The bobsled is one shot. Shawn doing a back flip is another shot. And they're put together. Can you imagine the liability insurance for something like this if it was real?"
