Avril Lavigne Confirms Separation From Husband Deryck Whibley

After months of speculation and reports of a deeply troubled marriage, rocker Avril Lavigne has finally confirmed that she is calling it quits with husband Deryck Whibley.
Hollywood has been filled with rumors that the Canadian couple's relationship has been on the rocks for quite sometime and now Lavigne, 25, has told her husband to 'hit the curb' from their fabulous $9.5 million Bel Air mansion in Los Angeles.

Avril released a statement on her blog Thursday confirming the breakup.
"Deryck and I have been together for 6 and a half years," Lavigne writes. "We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship. I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note. Thank you to all my family, friends and fans for all your support."
According to insiders Whibley, 29, is reportedly 'crushed' that the marriage is over but he must also be 'distraught' that he is no longer living at the stunning mansion which was previously owned by fellow rocker Travis Barker.
Lavigne splashed-out $9.5 million to purchase the 12,184 sq ft Tuscan style mansion in the gated Bel Air community in 2007.
The three story mansion on Stratford Circle boasts eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, an elevator, office, high tech kitchen, 10 car garage, steam room, spa, landscaped gardens and outdoor swimming pool.

Lavigne and Whibley exchanged vows before 110 guests during a non-denominational ceremony at a private estate in Montecito, California, back in July 2006.
She wore a traditional Vera Wang dress, carried a bouquet of white roses and was escorted down the aisle to the strains of Mendelssohn's 'Wedding March' by her father John.

Shanna Moakler is hitting back at ex-Miss California Carrie Prejean, who earlier today issued a law suit against pageant officials Keith Lewis and Moakler, claiming religious discrimination.

Mel Avanzado, lawyer for Shanna Moakler, says "Ms. Moakler has not yet been served with Carrie Prejean's lawsuit?"
"However, on Ms. Moakler's behalf, I can say unequivocally that Ms. Prejean's lawsuit is without merit.
"More importantly, as everyone who watched or read her public statements is well aware, Ms. Prejean's unfortunate and bigoted statements are responsible for any public humiliation or damages to her reputation that she has claimed to have suffered.
"Ms. Moakler strenuously denies that she did anything wrong and looks forward to proving that in a court of law."

Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has filed a complaint against pageant officials, Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The complaint, filed in the Superior Court of California, cites damages to Prejean including libel, public disclosure of private facts, religious discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

"To us it's outrageous what happened," Prejean's attorney, Charles S. LiMandri, told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "There's no doubt in our
minds, that if she had answered that question at the Miss USA pageant differently she'd probably still be Miss USA right now, but she'd definitely still be Miss California."
Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker Fight Over The Kids

Police were called to Shanna Moakler's family home in Rhode Island yesterday [8/24/09] following an incident involving Travis Barker.
Travis and Shannon recently hashed out an agreement allowing them to share custody of their two children, Landon, 5, and Alabama, 3, but when the time came for Travis to return the kids, after his stint at daddy duty, a fight broke out between Shanna and Travis resulting in Travis' refusal to leave the property.

Having resigned from her post as co-director of the Miss California pageant, Shanna Moakler now wants back in following the firing of Carrie Prejean.

“I’d love to go back,” Moakler said in Los Angeles on Thursday. “I love the California organization.”
Moakler was outspoken over her differences with anti-gay marriage Prejean and was upset by how Prejean kept her crown despite shirking her official duties. Seems like Moakler won in the end!

Former Miss Universe Shanna Moakler is lashing out at the California Supreme Court’s decision to uphold “Prop 8,” the state’s ban against gay marriage which was voted into law last November.
“As our youth grows and gets the power to vote, hate Props like these will be a thing of the past,” Shanna told RadarOnline.com.
“I know I am on the right side of history and it is only a matter of time when our great country starts doing the right thing."

Miss California USA Carrie Prejean was both blasted and defended on Larry King Live Thursday night, after she cancelled her appearance on the show at the last minute.
Miss Universe president Paula Shugart told King Prejean's cancellation was due to exhaustion and travel issues. Prejean had hired her own public relations team following the fallout over her gay marriage remarks, a source told RadarOnline.com, and her handlers reportedly backed out of the interview late Thursday.

Shanna Moakler, who stepped down in her capacity as Miss California USA official Wednesday, said she feels Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has "gotten rewarded for lying."
Prejean, earlier this week, was allowed to keep her crown by pageant head Donald Trump in spite of past infractions that violated the pact she agreed to in representing the pageant in the first place.

Fresh off of Donald Trump's public affirmation that Miss California Carrie Prejean would keep her crown, former beauty queen and pageant director Shanna Moakler resigned from her post on Wednesday.
"Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization," Moaker tells Us. "I cannot with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it, or the contracts I signed committing myself as a youth."
"I want to be a role model for young woman with high hopes of pageantry, but now feel it more important to be a role model for my children. I am sorry and hope I have not let any young supporters down but wish them the best of luck in fulfilling their dreams."

Miss California USA co-director Shanna Moakler is speaking out after Donald Trump's decision to let Carrie Prejean keep the crown on Tuesday. "It was never about Carrie's opinion or the pictures, it was about the fact that we couldn't communicate with Carrie personally and there were too many organizations trying to exploit her title," Moakler told RadarOnline.com.
