Stricken Cruise Ship Reaches Land After Three Days Of Chaos Adrift With No Power

Costa Cruises has suffered another PR nightmare and left a ship full of disgruntled passengers demanding compensation after being left adrift in pirate-infested waters for three days.

The stricken Costa Allegra, which lost power on Monday 200 miles from the Seychelles Islands off mainland Africa, finally made it to dry land on Thursday when it was towed into port on the island of Mahe by a tug boat, reported ABCNews.com.

Another crisis has rocked the boat for the Costa Cruise corporation as more than a thousand people are floating adrift in a huge vessel owned by the company after a fire broke out on board causing them to lose power.

The Costa Allegra is sitting undefended in the Indian Ocean 200 miles from the Seychelles Islands off mainland Africa in an area that is notorious for being infested by modern-day pillaging pirates, reported ABCNews.com.

It is the second high-profile disaster for the cruise company that also owns the ill-fated Costa Concordia, which crashed off the coast of Italy on January 13.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge -- Prince William & Kate Middleton, to the rest of us -- are back from their honeymoon.

The couple "thoroughly enjoyed their time together, and they are grateful to the Seychelles government for their assistance in making the honeymoon such a memorable and special 10 days,"  says a statement from St. James Palace.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge -- Prince William & Kate Middleton, to the rest of us -- are back from their honeymoon.

William and Kate wed April 29, and several days later jetted off to the Seychelles, located off the coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean.

As RadarOnline.com reported, their very exclusive, very posh accommodations on a privately-owned island in the Seychelles, cost over $70,000 a day!

Prince William, 28, and Kate, 29 --  now officially the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge -- flew to the Seychelles, in the Indian Ocean, last Tuesday.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have traveled to the Seychelles Islands for an exotic two week honeymoon.

The Royal couple is reportedly staying at an exclusive $6,000 a night villa on one of the Seychelles’ privately-owned islands.

The world’s most famous newlyweds – now officially the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge -- took a private jet and then a helicopter to their island, arriving at 7:20 am local time Tuesday.

The coy Waley-Cohen declines to take all the credit for playing matchmaker.

"Oh I don't know about that. I don't think it was me with my Cupid's arrow," he told the UK's Daily Mirror.
