Christopher James Hooker, the 41-year-old former Modesto, Calif. teacher whose affair with a teen former student, caused a national scandal, has been arrested.
But the bust didn't come in connection with Hooker's affair with Jordan Powers, with whom he's been living since leaving his wife and children, and quitting his teacher's position.

He was arrested Friday on one count of oral copulation with a minor for an incident officials said happened 14 years ago.
The charge stems from a relationship Hooker allegedly had in 1998 with a 17-year-old student at the school where he previously taught, reports The Modesto Bee reports.

Gore was facing what could have been a potentially crippling lawsuit when the police complaint was lodged in January 2009.
And by making the transfer, completed on November 30th 2009, the Gores could potentially protect their homes and other assets from any legal claims.

The Gores' $8.8 million Montecito, CA estate, which they acquired last October, was purchased through a trust.
As previously reported, RadarOnline.com obtained audio recordings of the interview between a detective and the massage therapist making the claims against the Nobel Prize-winning Gore.
The woman spoke at great length about her hotel room encounter with Gore, who she branded a "‘crazed sex poodle."

In the tape obtained by RadarOnline.com, Detective Molly Daul is heard interviewing the woman in January 2009, two-and-a-half years after the alleged incident occurred and after she'd canceled three previous appointments with investigators.
As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, the woman spoke at great length about her hotel room encounter with the former Vice President who she called a "crazed sex poodle."
Her claim was that Al wanted far more than a massage. She said he groped her and forced her hand down his trousers.

EXCLUSIVE: Debby Boone Reacts to You Light Up My Life Composer’s Shocking Arrest
Posted on Jun 24, 2009 @ 07:03PM - Add a comment

Singer Debby Boone is heartbroken that the song which was such a huge part of her life and career became the calling card for an alleged serial rapist.
Producer/director/composer Joseph Brooks, who won a Best Original Song Oscar in 1977 for You Light Up My Life, was arrested and charged June 23 in New York on 82 counts of sexual assault, including rape.
"I recorded You Light Up My Life as a pure expression of love,” Debby told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “It has held a very special place in the hearts of so many people. Naturally, I am very concerned for all parties involved."
Brooks, 71, had been under investigation for several months. He turned himself in to a NYPD precinct station, accompanied by his attorney, Police Officer Otero told RadarOnline.com.
Brooks used his show business connections – he also produced and wrote the film, You Light Up My Life and co-produced the cult-fav 1983 rock flick, Eddie and the Cruisers – as a way to lure women to his apartment where he sexually assaulted them.
One of his victims was an American Idol contestant, Loretta Spruell.
Brooks was released on $500,000 bail. He’s facing a possible 25 years in prison if convicted on all counts.
Boone, the daughter of Pat Boone, continues to record and tour.
