Allegations of sexual abuse have once again rocked the Catholic Church and forced the Vatican to launch the first known action --  against the Legion of Christ priests for alleged sexual assault.

The investigation focuses on seven priests accused of sexual abuse of minors and another two for other alleged crimes, and comes in the aftermath of revelations that the Legion’s founder, Reverend Marciel Maciel, raped and molested his seminarians, reported the Huffington Post.

Having opened up earlier this month about the sexual abuse she suffered as a 10-year-old, Vanessa Williams is now revealing her heartbreaking secret high school pregnancy that ended in abortion.

Former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky’s attorney has requested that a judge dismiss all 52 counts of sex abuse against his client, claiming they were too vague, too flimsy, or happened too long ago to be adequately defended in court.

Joseph Amendola argued that charges involving at least eight of the 10 boys that his client is accused of molesting fell outside the statute of limitations and that others could not be sufficiently substantiated by witnesses, reported the Boston Herald.

The teacher at the heart of the school sex abuse scandal appeared in a Los Angeles court Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to 23 charges of lewd acts on students.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Mark Berndt, a 61-year-old longtime teacher at Miramonte Elementary School in southeast Los Angeles, is accused of sexually abusing at least 23 male and female students during school hours, ranging from 6 to 10 years old, from 2008 until 2010.

A judge ruled on Friday that alleged Penn State child abuser Jerry Sandusky should be given permission to see his grandchildren despite numerous allegations of molestation against him, but their mother adamantly disagrees.

“I do not believe it is safe for my children, or any children, to be around Jerry Sandusky,” argued former daughter-in-law Jill Thomas, who is currently in a bitter custody dispute with her ex-husband, Matt Sandusky, reported the Patriot News.

The web of sex and scandal at a Los Angeles school spun even further out of control Wednesday when it was revealed that a female teacher’s aide allegedly wrote love letters to an 11-year-old boy.

Areceli Luisjuan reportedly penned the indecent messages to the fourth-grader at Miramonte Elementary School in south east L.A. in June 2009, much to the disgust of the boy’s mother, who reported it to sheriff deputies and school authorities but claims she wasn’t taken seriously.

Los Angeles school authorities have made an extreme response to the arrest of two teachers accused of sex abuse by removing the entire faculty while they investigate the allegations.

All staff members from the principal to custodians at Miramonte Elementary School in southeast Los Angeles will be replaced, reported KABC-TV.

Corey Feldman has sensationally vowed to name the Hollywood movie executives he claims abused him when he was 14 years-old.

The 80's actor made the shocking confession to The Sun as he lifted the lid on the assaults he says happened when he was just a child.

"When I was 14 and 15, things were happening to me," he said. "These older men were leching around like vultures. It was basically me laying there pretending I was asleep and them going about their business.

"I will write a book - I will put all the information forward."

Feldman, 40, first opened up about the seedy side of the industry after his Lost Boys costar and best friend Corey Haim died, however at the time he wouldn't name names.

"Corey and I were pegged as the scapegoats," said Feldman. "People need to know the reason Corey and I were swept under the carpet like the beaten dogs that were sent to the pound so no one had to deal with us anymore.

"I stood up and said there is a bigger problem, that I'd lost Corey and that I didn't want to see any more kids lost to these sick perverts."

Although he has yet to head to trial, Jerry Sandusky is already as controversial, infamous and reviled as Casey Anthony, who was found not guilty this summer of murdering her daughter, Caylee Marie.

And, just like “tot mom,” Sandusky, who is facing up to 50 charges of sexually abusing young boys over a 15-year span, is shopping around a sit-down interview with all the major television network players, according to PennLive.com.

The website reports that Sandusky’s attorney, Joe Amendola, told them that his client and his wife Dottie Sandusky are "considering speaking together publicly after the new year ... either to Oprah Winfrey, 60 Minutes, Rock Center or Barbara Walters."

Former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky was arrested again on Wednesday for new sexual abuse charges.

The 67-year-old was arrested and handcuffed at his Pennsylvania home by state police, then brought to a Centre County courthouse for an arraignment because of new charges of abusing two boys from his Second Mile charity.
