Elmo appeared on Good Morning America Friday to share his thoughts on the controversy involving a Sesame Street sketch he taped with Katy Perry, which resulted in the show's producers not airing the clip after complaints about the pop star's low-cut dress poured in after a preview was uploaded to YouTube.

After Sesame Street producers yanked a segment featuring pop singer Katy Perry on the grounds it was too salacious for the children's staple, the singer Tweeted her response Thursday to the ensuing fiasco.
"Wow, looks like my play date with Elmo has been cut short!" Perry, 25, Tweeted. "If you still wanna play see it at www.katyperry.com Tag you're it, Elmo!"

Suri Cruise and mom Katie Holmes were spotted in Downtown Los Angeles Sunday, taking in a performance of "Elmo's Green Thumb," a production from Sesame Street Live.
Suri jammed with all the usual Sesame suspects--like Elmo, Big Bird and Bert and Ernie.
Tom Cruise's tot had such a good time that an eyewitness even spotted her taking a souvenir from the venue, the Nokia Theater.
Little Suri was "picking up and collecting confetti off the floor," the on-looker tells RadarOnline.com.
