Joran van der Sloot was sentenced to 28 years on Friday for the murder of Peruvian student Stephany Flores.

Two days after he pleaded guilty to the 2010 killing of the 21-year-old, the Dutchman stood solemnly in a Lima courtroom as his sentence was handed down.

Deputy District Attorney David Walgren is holding a live news conference in the L.A. County courthouse to discuss the jury's decision following the ground breaking guilty verdict of Dr. Conrad Murray in the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson.

The jury unanimously found Dr. Murray guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of Jackson, and the verdict was announced at 1:15 p.m. on Monday.

Pamela Hasselhoff is currently being processed at the Inmate Reception Center adjacent to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

Law enforcement sources tell us that after she is processed, she will most likely be placed at Lynwood Correctional Facility.

Hasselhoff was sentenced to 90 days for violating probation because of a second DUI arrest, to which she pled no contest last week.
