Undercover couple Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz tried to have a quiet drink with Sean Penn and a mystery brunette Friday night, but the boys got so raucous everybody in the room knew they were there -- including RadarOnline.com!

The trio of Oscar winners sat at a secluded table on the outside patio at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles with Penn's date listening to their animated stories.
Penelope, who recently refused to reveal to David Letterman if she is engaged to handsome Bardem, sat with her back to the bar crowd in an attempt not to be recognized. But her low profile ploy was blown by Bardem and Penn who were laughing loudly at each other's jokes. At one point Penelope even had to gently calm handsome Bardem down by holding his arm as he enthusiastically got out of his seat waving his hands.
"Everyone seemed to be having a good time except Penn's date who appeared slightly subdued," our eyewitness said.

Cruz and Bardem first met after working on Jamon Jamon together in 1992. Their romance took off after they appeared on the big screen again in 2008's Vicky Christina Barcelona.
Penn is currently single after splitting with the mother of his two sons, actress Robyn Wright Penn.

Sean Penn's 16-year-old son, was arrested sometime last week, according to two sources near the investigation who spoke exclusively with RadarOnline.com.
The younger Penn was taken into custody by the L.A. County Sheriff's department. Because he is a minor, authorities will not release details as to why he was arrested or if any charges have been filed.

A senior L.A. County Sheriff's source did tell RadarOnline.com the teenager was busted at the school he attends in the posh Malibu area.

After on-and-off attempts at reconciling their thirteen-year marriage, Robin Wright Penn and Sean Penn are done for good. The actress- who filed for divorce on August 12- opened up in a recent interview about finally calling it quits and why she pulls over twice a week to cry.
“I hit that crossroad a while ago. For Robin, the ‘I know what I don’t want’ was flashing neon lights,” she told MORE magazine. “I have no regrets. I, we, have two amazing children we raised together.” In the most recent divorce papers, it states the couple will have shared custody over their minor son Hopper Jack, 16, and “have already agreed to division of all property.”
The couple originally announced their separation in December 2007 but in April the following year, they filed a petition to dismiss the divorce. A year later, they attended the Academy Awards together and Penn won his second Oscar. However, in April 2009, he filed for legal separation and joint custody (he filed a request to dismiss the case in May). Now, she is focusing on getting their children ready for the real world.

In a move that shocked not one, but two movie studios, two-time Academy Award winner Sean Penn has pulled out of two films, The Three Stooges and Cartel.
Penn cited personal reasons and will take an undetermined sabbatical -- possibly as much as a year -- to focus on his family, according to Variety.
Penn has informed Universal and Imagine that he will be unable to star in the Asger Leth-directed drama Cartel, which tells the story of a man fighting to protect his son after his wife is murdered by Mexican cartels.

Just because he’s shooting a film in New York and she’s dazzling fans at the Cannes Film Festival doesn’t mean Sean Penn doesn’t want to be back together with his wife of 13 years, Robin Wright.
He’s withdrawn his petition for a legal separation, which he’d filed April 24 in Marin County (CA) Superior Court.
“It was an arrogant mistake,” Penn told the New York Daily News of the separation.
Mr. and Mrs. Penn have been keeping family courts busy even before they married.
In 1996, already the parents of two children, the pair split and Robin obtained legal counsel to formalize custody and support issues.
But just weeks after a public scream-fest outside Robin’s attorney’s office, the pair married.
Then in December, 2007, they filed competing divorce petitions.
Sean made a grand play flaunting his newly single status by dating gorgeous model Petra Nemcova, even taking her to the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar viewing party.
Bachelorhood apparently didn’t agree with Penn though and in April, 2008 he and Robin both told the divorce court to take a hike, and they got back together.
That was until April 24 when Sean started racking up the legal fees with his most recent petition.
Whether Robin is willing to go along with this most recent reconciliation isn’t yet known.
Reps for the pair are so far not commenting on the Penn’s most recent stop on the marital merry-go-round.
