Ashley Olsen, Other Celebs On Flight Forced To Make Emergency Landing

At least three entertainers, including actress Ashley Olsen, were aboard a cross-country United flight Sunday when an electrical fire broke out in the cockpit, forcing it to make an emergency landing in Virginia's Dulles International Airport, RadarOnline.com has learned.
When the cockpit fire erupted on the New York-to-Los Angeles flight, a resulting windshield crack "obscured the pilot's ability to conduct a visual landing," passenger/publicist Phil Lobel told ET.
Californication's Pamela Adlon and Jersey Boys star Jarrod Spector were also passengers on the flight, along with Olsen and her boyfriend.
The evacuation efforts were by all reports successful, as emergency crews tended to relieved passengers upon the plane’s safe landing.

The Proposal star Ryan Reynolds had a near-miss -- better yet, make that a near-hit -- as he zoomed his red Triumph motorcycle into busy traffic on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angles, California Thursday evening.
Thankfully, Reynolds, 32, avoided contact with the red Dodge four-door he looked to be careening less than a moment before.

Christian Bale has made it abundantly clear what a dedicated method actor he is.
Whether playing the brooding and handsome Bruce Wayne turned gravel-voiced Batman or the yell-happy John Conner in Terminator, Bale gives it his all.

This isn't the first time Bale has completely changed his body mass for a part. For 2004's The Machinist, Bale dropped nearly 30 lbs, surviving on an apple and a can of tuna each day.
And who could forget his infamous rant on the set of Terminator: Salvation? Bale later apologized but credited his fury to building his character--who had a touch of insanity.

Boeing Jumbo Jet Hotel
How would you like to stay in a Boeing 747-200 jumbo jet hotel? We’re not kidding; there’s a very large jumbo jet parked at the Stockholm airport where you can book the converted cockpit with a panoramic view of the airport which features two beds, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom with shower.
The airplane was built for Singapore Airlines and later flew for Pan Am but then someone had the idea of converting it into a hotel/hostel. For someone who loves planes, you can indulge your fantasy for $358, which includes breakfast.

Ice Hotels
Ice hotel have become very trendy, so we’re not even sure they should be on this list except for the coolness factor.
One of the most famous is the Alta Igloo Hotel in Finland, which looks just like a solid block of ice but everything inside is hand carved to the last detail. The beds are carved out of ice too; however they are layered with reindeer skin and insulated sleeping bags so you don’t freeze to death. (We did wonder about the toilets – come on, we know you did too -- because if they’re also carved out of ice that could present a problem. Fortunately, a large wooden building next to the hotel houses the bathrooms, which link to the sauna.)
