Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien apologized to Levi Johnston on Thursday night, because of an earlier skit that featured Star Trek icon William Shatner reading a montage of bizarre Twitter quotes falsely attributed to the father of Sarah Palin's grandson.
“I’d like to apologize personally to Levi Johnston and his lawyer and publicist for misrepresenting him in any way,” O’Brien said. “Levi is clearly a great American. We wish him the best of luck as he trains for his upcoming naked photo shoot.”

Oprah Winfrey has scored a much sought after interview with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and one late night host is not happy about it.
The Late Show host David Letterman appeared miffed Thursday night at the former vice-presidential candidate for choosing Oprah over his Late Show.
This past summer, David Letterman extended an invitation to Palin to appear on his show after the controversy over his sexual comments regarding Palin's underage daughter and Alex Rodriguez. Levi Johnston, the 19-year-old father of Sarah Palin's grandson, told the CBS Early Show Thursday about his upcoming nude spread in Playgirl magazine and his continued heat with the former Alaskan governor.
Johnston said his Playgirl spread would be done tastefully, and said he has been training everyday to look his best for the spread.

Sarah Palin isn't going down without a fight. Shortly after future ex son-in-law Levi Johnston went on The Early Show with more Palin family revelations, the former Alaskan governor went on attack.

Johnston had claimed that Palin called her baby son Trig- who has Down syndrome- "retarded."
"We, like many, are appalled at the inflammatory statements being made or implied," Palin retorted. "Trig is our 'blessed little angel' who knows it and is lovingly called that every day of his life."
The former vice presidential candidate also took an easy swipe at Johnston's decision to pose nude in Playgirl.

In a disclosure statement released Tuesday regarding Sarah Palin's finances during the time of her resignation, a $1.25 million figure was described as her "retainer" which many take as advance compensation for her upcoming memoir.

The bad blood between Levi Johnston and Sarah Palin continues, as Johnston told the CBS Early Show Wednesday he's keeping secrets about the former vice presidential candidate that could do severe damage to her reputation.
"There are some things that I have that are huge," he said. "And I haven't said them because I'm not gonna hurt her that way. I have things that can, you know -- that would get her in trouble, and could hurt her. Will hurt her. But I'm not gonna go that far. You know, I mean, if I really wanted to hurt her, I could, very easily. But there's -- I'm not gonna do it. I'm not going that far."

And we thought the best thing about Alaska was the trout: Levi Johnston is working out with bodybuilder Marvin Jones 18 hours a week to prepare for an online Playgirl magazine shoot in which he will show the world his barely legal-physique -- naked.
While no format agreement has been reached, according to Johnston's attorney, the shoot is a "forgone conclusion."
Johnston -- the 19-year-old father of Sarah Palin's grandson, who stood alongside the politician and her family on the platform at last year's Republican National Convention -- is reportedly spending lots of time in New York and Los Angeles in hopes of kick-starting a career in modeling.

Both heads of the Palin household are now without a job. Todd Palin, the husband of former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has quit his oil field job on the North Slope a few months after she resigned as governor of Alaska.

“Todd Palin resigned his position with BP effective September 18, 2009. He’s one of our employees, we respect their privacy,” the company spokesman Steve Rinehart confirmed to RadarOnlne.com. “He worked for us for many years as a production operator, and he worked up on the North Slope. There are large processing plants on the North Slope that separate oil, water and gas that comes up from the wells and his job was to help run one of those plants. Typically those jobs are on a location, people rotate on and off, two weeks on and two weeks off.”

As RadarOnline.com reported, the former Republican vice presidential candidate is auctioning off a dinner for five with herself and husband Todd on eBay. But even if you have the dough to trump the current $25,000 bid, you’ll still be subject to a “coolness” test by Palin herself!
According to new rules posted on the auction page, the winning bidder must submit to a background check. Failure to pass will result in the winner “forfeiting the experience and a refund given.”

The ex Republican vice presidential candidate is auctioning off the chance to dine with five, including herself and husband Todd.
The auction, running on ebay, has a starting bid of $25,000 with all proceeds going to a good cause - Ride 2 Recovery - a charity that provides bicycles to wounded veterans and organizes bike rides to aid in their recovery.
The auction opened Tuesday and will remain open for ten days.
