Sanjaya Malakar exclusively gives his take on the new season of American Idol to RadarOnline.com in this brand new video blog, where the memorable contestant from 2007 says the show's Wednesday night auditions in Milwaukee were "awesome... really good"
The Washington state native said that this year's crop of judges are knowledgeable, and the contestants look polished, as they seem to know what makes a winner after the show's decade-long run on the air.
"Ten years, that's a lot of time to study and it has paid off," Sanjaya said.

American Idol novelty act Sanjaya Malakar and the wife of ousted Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich, Patti, were eliminated on the next-to-last episode of NBC's summer reality show, I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! Tuesday night.
Both were gracious as they bid farewells to the remaining contestants (Lou Diamond Phillips, Torrie Wilson, John Salley).
"I'm a little disappointed, but you know what I made it to the Top 5," Malakar said. "There's one more day in the jungle and I'm ready to watch my fellow camp-mates battle it out."
Blagojevich wished the lone woman left on the show, ex-WWE diva Wilson, good luck in Wednesday's finale.
"I'll see you tomorrow," she said. "Knock 'em dead -- you kill these guys, you understand me?!"
The show's two-hour finale airs on NBC Wednesday at 8/7c.

In a surprising twist, Janice Dickinson went out with a whimper.
The former supermodel, known as much for her eccentricity as her beauty, was placid after learning she did not make the voters' cut on Thursday night's edition of NBC's summer reality show, I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!
Also given her walking papers was the sister of The Hills beauty Heidi Montag, Holly Montag, whose stint on the show will most likely be remembered for her budding romance with American Idol novelty act Sanjaya Malakar.

Sanjaya Malakar broke his silence toward the whirlwind of rumors regarding his sexuality on Tuesday night's I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!, saying he was straight.
“I do hair and I’ll sit in the corner and knit, so it confuses people,” Malakar said. “A lot of my friends refer to me as their ‘straight gay best friend,’ because we’ll go do things that stereotypically you would do with a gay guy.”
The Washington state native said that he has long had ties with the gay community.
