The legal fees Britney Spears has and is continuing to pay out – well – they’re pretty astounding. New court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com give an accounting of the fees the L.A. County Superior Court has approved for the Conservatorship of Britney Spears to pay to three different law firms involved in obtaining restraining orders against former Brit associates Sam Lutfi, Adnan Ghalib and Jon Eardley. The tally is $291,780.50 with $155,780.50 still owing.

The cost of dealing with these restraining orders is still mounting however. Lutfi and Eardley are fighting the ones places against them; and the Conservatorship is suing all three of the men – something that rings up even more legal fees – for payment of, you guessed it, its legal fees!

Even while her concert tour continues to wow fans around Europe, attorneys for Britney Spears and her parents continue to do face down Sam Lutfi in a Los Angeles court.
The latest salvo was filed by mom Lynne Spears who is defending herself against Lutfi’s allegation that her memoir, Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World defamed him. In legal papers obtained by RadarOnline.com, Lynne claims that she has every legal right to voice her “opinion” that Lutfi is a “fake” and Svengali” Her legal team also asserts that Lutfi’s allegations that the book caused him to be shunned, criticized and unemployable “groundless.”
Britney wraps the European leg of the tour in Moscow this weekend. She’s taking a month off before doing another round of US appearances.

Lynne Spears, AKA Britney's mother, is fighting back against her daughter's one-time manager Sam Lutfi in a new court filing obtained by RadarOnline.com.
The latest legal salvo, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on June 15, has Lynne defending her rights under "constitutionally-protected freedom of speech" to speak out against Lutfi. He'd filed a "SLAPP" lawsuit against her earlier this year. SLAPP - Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation - is basically an attempt to silence an opponent, and Lynne isn't about to give in to Lutfi, who she had accused of drugging and taking control of Britney when she was at her most vunerable.
A hearing in the matter has been set for July 14.

BREAKING NEWS: Britney Spears To Collect Legal Fees from Former Boyfriend Adnan Ghalib

With hundreds of thousands of dollars going out of her checking account every month for legal fees, Britney Spears has just caught a small financial break.
The Los Angeles County Superior Court on June 8 ordered Ghalib to pay the Conservatorship of Britney Jean Spears $11,500. to cover legal fees and costs it incurred in obtaining a restraining order against the photographer.
Ghalib may be counting himself as lucky, however. The Conservatorship had requested the Court award it over $70,000!

The cottage industry known as the “The Conservatorship of the Person and the Estate of Britney Jean Spears Legal Team” filed new papers with the Los Angeles County Superior Court last night amending the amount of legal fees it seeks to collect from Britney’s former colleagues.

For its time and trouble in obtaining restraining orders against Sam Adnan Ghalib, Sam Lutfi and Jon Eardley, and fighting off Lutfi and Eardley’s challenges to those orders, the Spears attorneys are asking the court to award them a total of $301,290.19.
They’re now requesting $65,552.58 from paparazzi Ghalib, $114,552.90 from former manager Lutfi, and $121,184.71 from lawyer Jon Eardley.
At almost $20,000 less than the original request, that’s a glimmer of good news for the defendants.

Britney Spears – and that means the Conservatorship of the Person and Estate of – is headed back into court to try and collect the cost of defending itself against the pop star’s former pals.
Earlier this year, a Los Angeles County Judge issued restraining orders against her former boyfriend, paparazzo Adnan Ghalib, manager Sam Lutfi and attorney Jon Eardley. Lutfi and Eardley both unsuccessfully challenged the restraining orders. Now the Conservatorship wants the bad guys to pony up for the legal fees it incurred. It is asking the Los Angeles County Superior Court to request that the “Respondents” pay it the following amounts: Ghalib, $70,6678.80; Lutfi, $121,655.42; and Eardley, $128,287,23.
A hearing on the request is on calendar for this Friday. RadarOnline.com will be there.

Jamie Spears Responds To Sam Lutfi's Lawsuit

The ongoing legal circus surrounding Britney Spears continues as her dad, Jamie Spears has formally responded to Sam Lutfi's lawsuit against the Spears clan he filed. Sam's lawsuit which was filed on February 3, 2009, claims breach of contract, and jamie Spears has responded in court papers, "Defendant J. Spears denies generally each and every allegation of plaintiff's unverified First Amended Complaint, and denies the Plaintiff has been injured or damaged in any degree, amount, or sums, or is entitled to any relief at all."

Jon Eardley, the lawyer who claims he once represented Britney Spears, is appealing a three-year restraining order the singer obtained against him, according to court papers filed Wednesday.
Eardley also filed papers objecting to paying for attorney's fees incurred by Britney's estate while getting the restraining order granted. A hearing has been set for May 29th to determine if Eardley or Sam Lutfi will be ordered to pay Brit's legal team's bills.

That's what Sam Lutfi is saying, as he appeals a restraining order against him by Britney Spears. A three-year restraining order was recently granted but on Thursday Lutfi filed an appeal.
Lutfi was once Britney's manager.

Britney Spears representatives were successful in court Tuesday as a judge granted requests for restraining orders against former manager Sam Lufti, as well as former lawyer Jon Eardley.
The temporary restraining orders against both men were turned into three-year restraining orders to stay away from Britney.

The Circus continues.
A hearing is set for Tuesday afternoon in Los Angeles Superior Court to determine whether or not a restraining order -- obtained by Britney Spears' father against a pair of men that claimed to be her manager and attorney at one time -- will be made permanent.
