Gotye Slams Glee Version Of 'Somebody That I Used To Know'

Gotye probably wishes Glee was somebody that he used to know.
The Australian singer, real name Walley De Backer, whose song Somebody That I Used to Know has shot to number one on the Billboard charts, is not impressed with the Glee cover of his hit song.
“They did such a faithful arrangement of the instrumentals but the vocals were that popGlee style, ultra-dry, sounded pretty tuned and the rock has no real sense," the 31-year-old told the Sunday Mail of the Darren Criss and Matt Boomer treatment of his song, which he originally performed with New Zealand singer Kimbra.

Samuel Larsen and Damian McGinty both emerged victorious on Sunday night's finale of The Glee Project, as the talented teens will get seven episodes to show their wares on Fox's top-rated musical hit.
Larsen was first named the winner of the 10-week series, until the show's judges revealed Damian McGinty, an 18-year-old from Derry City, Ireland, had also been selected.

Music icon Prince is definitely not a Gleek.
He has entertained the world for decades with his songs but he’s not a fan of other people who copy his work, including the stars of the TV show Glee.
“There’s no other art form where you can do that,” Prince said about covers of his song, especially the Glee version of his hit song Kiss.

Gwyneth Paltrow made her long-awaited special appearance on Tuesday's edition of Fox's hit Glee, as the star played Holly Holiday, a cool substitute teacher filling in after regular teacher Will Schuester falls ill.
Besides her stellar singing, among the cool moments from Paltrow's Glee debut was when her character, in an attempt to connect to the high school students, used pop culture queen Lindsay Lohan as a common bond, teaching the kids the Spanish translations for how many times LiLo's been in rehab, how totally crazy she is and more.
