Lindsay Lohan didn’t turn-up for the premiere for Machete because she didn’t want the media circus surrounding her to detract from the movie, the director of her new movie project told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
While Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez dazzled on the red carpet of Robert Rodriguez’s new movie, Lohan – who has a part in the slasher-style flick – was a no show.

It’s the great mystery of Lindsay Lohan’s court drama.
LiLo’s legal eagle, Shawn Chapman Holley, lost a bid on Monday to relax restrictions involving drug and alcohol testing, so the sometime actress, all-time party girl can supposedly attend a film shoot in Texas.
However, the curious problem is, everyone involved in Lohan’s upcoming projects tell RadarOnline.com, there’s no plans to film in the Lone Star State.

Lohan is lined-up to play porn star Linda Lovelace in Inferno.
But director Matthew Wilder told RadarOnline.com he had no intention of shooting his movie in Texas.

Likewise, the studio behind Robert Rodriguez’s Machete -- in which Lohan goes topless as gun-toting socialite April Benz -- also confirmed it’s done in Texas.
“The movie is done filming and we are set for release,” said a spokesperson for Twentieth Century Fox.

According to her IMDB, Inferno and Machete are the only two projects Lohan is currently attached to.
Lohan went to Cannes to promote the Lovelace biopic, where she claimed to have become stranded forcing her to miss a mandatory court appearance in Los Angeles.

Wilder said producers are “standing-by” Lohan, despite her latest legal woes.
He told RadarOnline.com: “I want people to know that we are completely standing-by Lindsay Lohan to play the part of Linda Lovelace.

“These events have not made us waiver in that decision as we believe she is a very talented actress who is perfect for the role.
“I cannot comment about filming in Texas because we are going to film Inferno in Los Angeles and expect to start in September.
“Hopefully, by then her bracelet will be off but even if it wasn’t we could still work around that problem.

“I was with Lindsay in Cannes and we were really impressed with the effort she put in to promote the film and it wasn’t as if she was drunk and lying in the gutter every night.

Lovelace, real name Linda Boreman, is best known as the actress who starred in the 1972 hard core movie Deep Throat which went on to become the most successful porn film ever to be made.
Lohan has told close friends that she can’t wait to take-on the controversial role.

Lohan’s friend, Hollywood photographer Tyler Shields, told RadarOnline.com: “Lindsay is ‘super-amped’ about the role of playing porn star Linda Lovelace.
“She is really attracted to the story of Lovelace’s life and the director really wants her to do it too.
Wilder also claimed that he had not heard from actor Bill Pullman whose publicist claimed that he was not attached to Inferno after he was reportedly taking part.

At today’s hearing, Lohan was ordered to wear a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet and was fitted with one at the courthouse.
The actress was also ordered by Judge Revel not to drink alcohol, to attend alcohol education class once a week and to undergo random drug testing, which will happen at least once a week.

Rose McGowan has broken off her engagement to director Robert Rodriguez an inside source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
McGowan recently filmed Rodriguez’s action-packed Machete- which co-stars Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and Robert De Niro- in Austin, Texas and will next star in the she-devil comic book adaptation Red Sonja. Rodriguez is set to produce the film so maybe a reconciliation isn’t completely out of the cards?
Reps for the couple did not immediately respond for request to comment.
The couple officially announced their engagement in October 2007 after becoming romantically involved in 2006 on the set of the Planet Terror segment of Grindhouse, which was directed by Rodriguez and starred McGowan as a stripper with a machine-gun leg.
It was widely speculated at the time that their relationship was the reason Rodriguez divorced his wife of 16 years, producer Elizabeth Avellán. The director later issued a statement saying that he and Avellán had separated long before production began on the film.
McGowan, 36, and Rodriguez, 41, went public with their relationship in May 2007 when they arrived hand-in-hand at the Cannes Film Festival. They have been together ever since, despite false rumors that they had split up last year after financing for a Rodriguez-planned Barbarella remake starring McGowan fell through.

Cheech Marin and Natasha Rubin said "I do" at their Malibu home Saturday. Both the bride and groom wore white for the beach-front ceremony officiated by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
Marin's former Nash Bridges costar Don Johnson and film director Robert Rodriguez were among the 75 guests. The three friends are currently filming Machete.
Marin is still best-known as half of Cheech & Chong, one of the most successful comedy acts of all time. He and Rubin had been dating since early 2005.
