Rob Pattinson has a new leading lady, and it isn’t Kristen Stewart but an older woman, the lovely Uma Thurman. The two are slated to star in an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s Bel Ami.

RPattz will be playing George Duroy, a young journalist who rose from poverty to become one of the most successful men in Paris via the ruthless and calculating bedding of the city's most glamorous and influential women.
Thurman will be beating Kristen Stewart to the punch, as her character will become the wife of Pattinson on screen. Twilight fans are still waiting to see Edward and Bella wed.

Bel Ami is scheduled to shoot next year in Paris, according to The Hollywood Reporter. During the New Moon press tour Rob and Kristen were spotted holding hands leaving the airport after a glamorous promotional event, adding fuel to the fire about their budding romance.
New Moon broke the midnight opening record when it opened in theaters Friday, November 20, bringing in an estimated $26.27 million and breaking the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Record.

The top Twilight hunks Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz were among the many stars shining on the red carpet at the world premiere of New Moon, the second installment in the Twilight Saga.

Pattinson did not disappoint the hundreds of fans who waited for days to see him. The usually shy star was a truly dazzling gentleman on the red carpet: laughing, smiling, signing autographs and even running his hands through his perfectly shaggy locks at the Westwood Village’s Mann Bruin Theater in Los Angeles on Monday night.

The dashing Brit spoke with RadarOnline.com and revealed what he likes about Edward in New Moon.
“The fact that this is a guy, a character who so many people think is this ideal man who has to be literally humiliated and beaten physically and mentally and emotionally, and still the girl he thinks he doesn’t deserve loves him.” Then Pattinson seemed to lose his train of thought and joked: “I didn’t make any sense what so ever.” We understand- it must be nerve wracking to be him and surrounded by adoring and screaming fans! When asked if he thought his character deserved love Rob said, “Absolutely, I think everybody does.”

Lautner and Lutz charmed the crowd as well. Each of the guys spent time with fans who camped out for five days to meet them. When RadarOnline.com last caught up with Lutz at the Twilight Mall Tour he was wearing a Team Emmet t-shirt. “A fan gave it to me and so I’m going to wear it,” the now-blonde star told RadarOnline.com. “Unless it’s like spandex panties, I’m not going to wear that!”
Just before Lautner joined his fellow cast mates in the movie theater, RadarOnline.com asked him why Bella- played by the lovely Kristen Stewart who was wearing a stunning Oscar de la Renta dresss- should pick Jacob.

“That’s a tough question,” a stumped Lautner responded. Either way, his werewolf character will give Pattinson’s Edward a run for his money. “Of course [Jacob wants Bella], we’re competitive!”

Kellan Lutz stopped by Ryan Seacrest's show Monday morning to promote his upcoming movie New Moon.
The Twilight hunk spilled that he has no regrets about passing up the lead role of Edward in the movie, happy to leave the spotlight to co-star Rob Pattinson.

Lutz also said that he wouldn't want to date Kristen Stewart, claiming she's "too independent for my blood, she's too spicy". But, he said that he would love to kiss her!

And good news for Kellan's legions of female fans, he claims he's "very much single". Shooting down rumors of dating 90210 hottie AnnaLynne McCord, Lutz claimed that they are not together and "never have been".

Kristen Stewart sat down for a revealing interview with Parade.com and opened up, kind of, about dating Rob Pattinson and how she deals with fame.

The Twilight beauty even reveals that she’s experienced some heartbreak in her life, and that she knows what it’s like to “get broken up with”.
On her toughest scene: “It's when Edward tells Bella it's all over and they're never going to see each other again. There's nothing like it in reality. It's not even like a normal breakup scene because I know what it's like to get broken up with. I don't know what it's like to get broken up with by a vampire. It's like suddenly whatever has addicted an addict is taken away from them and they go through total withdrawal. That's what Bella was going through. To portray that was really intimidating."

On dating Robert Pattinson and all the rest of the gossip: "I get why fans want to know more about the cast as real people and they want us to be together and all of that. I just have to sort of not think about that. People have a hard time separating us from our characters. There's an incredibly large group that spends most of their time absorbed in the lives of people who've gotten some notoriety. It's strange to me. I can't have anything to do with it or else I'd step in and mess it up for myself, I just let it fall by the wayside. It doesn't really affect me."

On facing Fame: "As soon as I stopped trying to control everything that came out of my mouth and every picture of me that came out, that's when I became so much happier. A preview of the third film, Eclipse: "Just as you think you're going to get the same story, all of a sudden it completely changes. Bella is back to herself. She's comfortable and self-assured in a way that she wasn't in New Moon. What I really loved about Eclipse was exploring different levels of love and acknowledging that the ideals that you had aren't totally true. The other thing is that Bella's innately honest. But in Eclipse, she lies to herself and she lies to everybody around her, about the fact that she's in love with Jacob. That changes everything."

As the stars of New Moon travel around the world promoting the movie, they’ve encountered deliriously happy fans at every stop. Our fave blogger Lorabell was lucky enough to see them Wednesday night in London and here are her amazing up close and personal details.

Hi! This is Lorabell and I just got back from the UK New Moon fan event and am still buzzing! In fact, I’ve been buzzing since I found out I’d won tickets and thought I’d reined in my inner-fan-girl until “those” photos of Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart yesterday – after that, there was no hope!
When I arrived at London’s Battersea Evolution, I seriously could not believe the amount of (squealy girls) people waiting to get in – you literally could not see the end of the line! Once beyond the gate – fabulous New Moon wrist band accessory in place – you walked straight up to the red carpet! Lit by a glowing “moon” and lined with flaming torches and more fans, I took my time strolling (OK, so maybe it was more “bouncing”) down and even getting “papped” on the way, whilst trying to contain my excitement that RPattz, Kristen and Taylor Lautner would be walking the same carpet so very soon!

Inside the venue, the excitement continued as the foyer was decorated with real trees and atmospheric fog (very “Forks”) opening into a huge main room, dressed head-to-toe in New Moon posters, eerie red-lights and even cloaked Volturi and bare-chested werewolves. At the front was a huge stage with a giant moon back-drop… and we were three rows in!
Then, screens lit up either side of the room showing the red carpet out-side: Rob was the first to arrive looking gorgeously scruffy as usual and rather more smiley as usual - perhaps due to being back home… yeah that must be it! He graciously gave almost all of the crowd autographs as he grinned his way along the fans.

Taylor arrived next, looking dashingly charming in his dark suit and made his way briefly down the carpet, looking a little too cute – is it legal for someone so young to be so buff? Soon behind, was Kristen – not arriving with Rob as many had hoped – the girl is stunning! She looked rocking in her daring outfit and killer heals, her skin is absolutely flawless and she is super tiny – imaging the most delicate person you know… and then halve that - t-i-n-y!
Whilst we were waiting for the cast to make their way down the red carpet into the venue, the director, Christ Weitz (looking especially dazzling in bright gold trousers) came out to kick things off and bring out Band of Skulls and the Magic Numbers from the New Moon soundtrack to get the crowd going. Like we needed any more enthusiasm?

And then… it was time!
Chris came out again first, taking his seat on the panel and then the presenter introduced Kristen, who sat next to him, Rob who sat on the other side of Chris (and not next to Kristen) and then Taylor on the other side of Kristen: Taylor, Kristen, Chris, Rob. The screaming got so loud it actually became a whole new level of anti-sound – I swear, only dogs (especially werewolves) would have been able to hear it!

The Q&A started and every time the presenter posed a question, the audience would erupt into new screams for their favourite actor. Rob, looking stylistically disheveled in a loose white shirt and black jacket (yum!) was obviously really glad to be back in his home town and in a very smiley mood – he barely ran his hands through his hair at all *swoon* as he does when he’s nervous. He was comfortably joking away on stage about the reaction to his name and saying how the thing he misses most about home is the British Twilight fans… oh, Rob you charmer! He’s obviously as beautiful in person as he is on screen – as I knew from when I’d seen him in NY over the summer - but seeing him out of character and just “Rob”, his most attractive quality is how unpretentious he is – throughout the Q&A he was just being really goofy and laughing away to himself.
New Moon Cast Parties With Fans
When Taylor was asked about his physical transformation for New Moon, he quipped that “it is not always necessary to clean a bit of blood by taking off your whole shirt!” – I’m not sure the audience agreed as they broke into chants of “TAKE IT OFF”… awkward! Luckily, Taylor laughed it off – but Rob thought it was hysterical, breaking into one of his giggle-fits, as he does quite a bit. Considering how young he is and how much pressure must be on those rather muscular shoulders, I was impressed at how he handled himself – answering very openly and almost bashfully – he’ll have Team Edward fans defecting in no time ;)
Kristen was bouncing eagerly in her chair, looking lovely and occasionally waving to people in the crowd – I was impressed at how expressive she was, really putting a lot of thought into her answers. Unfortunately, when it came time for her first question, one tacky fan thought it was a good time to throw her bra onto the stage at Rob – some pantomime “Boos” broke out, which I worry Kristen thought were directed at her – so I quickly organized a chorus of “We love you Kristen!” and she remained impressively poised. When asked who she thought which guy Bella should be with, she got great response by reasoning “if I was Bella’s friend, I’d be ‘dude, please make this easier on me’ because Jacob’s her best friend… but, I gotta say this guy” motioning to Rob, but coyly not looking over as he just grinned.

She went on to say that her favourite time on set was when she and Taylor were playing catch and she chucked it at him with full force, as he caught it “like a mutt” – whereas Rob’s favourite time on set was “shooting the break up scene” laughing again, explaining “I just wanted to see the look on all your faces – DEVESTATION!”
I’ve got to say, throughout the whole event I was somewhat fascinated by Kristen – so much more beautiful in person than I realized and entirely unguarded – she has an impressively composed, genuine and soulful character. She’s obviously sibling-close to Taylor – and I can understand why, with his pure sincerity - they kept making funny comments to each other and pulling little faces. However, I can’t say I didn’t note more than the odd glance between Kristen and Rob – more than the occasional raised eye-brow and side-glance smirk. I can see how Rob could be a very easy person to joke around with but I can also see why they’ve got such great chemistry on screen – there’s a definite spark there and it’s set to “dazzle”!

In the world wide promotional tour for New Moon, the three stars and the director sat down for a press conference on Wednesday in Rob’s hometown of London, and he was quite charming talking about the changes he deals with in his everyday life.

“It’s such a novelty to me still,” the scruffy vampire heartthrob said about the fame and fan attention he receives. “If I’m still stuck in hotel rooms in 10 years and I have figured any other way to deal with it other than hiding it probably would annoy me a little bit.”

While we didn’t see any romantic interaction between Rob and Kristen at the press conference, Rob and Kristen were spotted Tuesday evening holding hands as they left Paris for London. Sitting in between his co-stars during the press conference, Rob gave Kristen a playful elbow to answer a question, but alas, that was all the touching between Bella and Edward. Taylor stepped in and answered the question, saying “I’m always surprised by fan reactions.”
When asked what he missed RPattz said “I guess I miss doing open mike,” and we’re sure fans would love to see the leader of the Brit Pack perform a song or two. “I really miss driving,” Rob confessed. “I never had a car in London and so I got my car in LA last summer so I only had three moths driving without 10 cars following you so I’m scared to drive now.” Kristen smiled as he told the story, and we’re sure she sympathizes with having so many people follow her.

The New Moon tour has excited fans all around the world, but perhaps no where more than in Rob Pattinson’s home town of London. The vampire heartthrob greeted hundreds of screaming fans at the airport when he touched down in London. The leader of the Brit Pack, the gorgeous Edward Cullen, signed autographs for the fan frenzy, and smiled the whole time, melting everyone’s heart.

It seems like you can’t be in the most romantic city in the world and not feel a little love, right Rob and Kristen? After promoting New Moon in Paris, the Twilight star couple headed to the airport and to a private jet together and it looks like they’re almost holding hands. Well, we can’t blame either one of them!
