Actor Rip Torn has pleaded guilty to charges he drunkenly broke into a Salisbury, Connecticut bank armed with a loaded .22-caliber revolver this past January, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Men In Black star, 79, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to charges of reckless endangerment, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and the illegal carrying of a firearm in connection with his break-in at the Litchfield Bancorp bank earlier this year.

Prosecutors have dropped the burglary charge against iconic actor Rip Torn in connection with his bizarre break-in of a bank in Salisbury, CT., RadarOnline.com has learned.
Torn - star of such movies as Men In Black and DodgeBall, still faces several other charges related to the incident, including possession of a revolver without a permit, criminal trespassing, and criminal mischief.

The Emmy Award winning Larry Sanders Show star appeared in Superior Court Tuesday in Litchfield, CT to face charges he broke into a bank -- drunk and with a loaded gun -- this past January. His case was continued until next week after his attorney briefed the court on the actor's progress in straightening out his life.
Torn's case is expected to come to a conclusion on June 4, his attorney Thomas Waterfall said outside of court Tuesday.

The 78-year-old 30 Rock actor was arraigned in a Connecticut court Monday to answer numerous charges, including burglary, trespassing, carrying a firearm while intoxicated and carrying a weapon without a permit, relating to his drunken escapade Friday when he broke into a bank armed with a loaded gun.

Torn's attorney, A. Thomas Waterfall told the judge that his client needs help with his alcohol abuse and that he can start treatment as soon as tomorrow morning in New York state.
Rip Torn Released After Posting Bail
The judge scheduled Torn's next court date for Feb. 17 in the Part A courthouse in Litchfield, which handles serious cases.
Bail was set at $100,000, which Torn posted with help from a bail bondsman.
As a condition of his release, the judge said Torn must be evaluated for substance abuse.
