The deeply religious Duggar family has thrown their support behind Rick Santorum for president, and in a new video they’ve listed the 19 reasons why they believe he should lead the nation.

The 19 Kids and Counting reality stars are led by mom Michelle and dad Jim Bob Duggar as they explain their personal rationale why they’re supporting the conservative republican candidate for president in the race against Barack Obama.

White House: Malia Obama ‘Safe, Never In Danger’ While In Mexico During 7.6 Quake

Malia Obama experienced a 7.6 magnitude earthquake while in Oaxaca, Mexico Tuesday, but thankfully remained out of harm’s way.  

"In light of today's earthquake, we can confirm that Malia Obama is safe and was never in danger," according to a statement Tuesday from First Lady Michelle Obama’s office. 

The 13-year-old daughter of the president is on a school trip in southwestern Mexico.

Rick won, not Mitt!

In a shocking surprise, ultra conservative Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum actually came in first in the Iowa caucuses with 34 votes over Mitt Romney, who initially was declared the winner, the Des Moines Register reported Thursday.  

On its website, the newspaper reported that results from eight precincts are still missing and might still hold an advantage for Romney. Those votes may never be recovered and certified, the paper reported, quoting state Republican Party officials.

Romney called the result a “virtual tie” in a statement that noted Santorum’s “strong performance.” Romney said the caucuses were a “great start.”

The ultra religious Duggar family stepped into the political arena on Monday, campaigning in Iowa for Republican candidate Rick Santorum.

Jim Bob Duggar took 12 of the family’s 19 children to Iowa to stump for the Pennsylvania Republican, who is trying to become the candidate for President in the first battleground state of the 2012 election.

He threw his support behind Santorum, but said Republicans are “not going to find a perfect candidate, unless it’s Jesus Christ.”

On the heels of the Pentagon’s historic repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell -- a move widely praised by advocates for equality everywhere -- a gay soldier was booed after asking a question about DADT during the Republican presidential debate in Orlando, Florida on Thursday night.

During the debate, Fox anchor Megyn Kelly -- who served as the debate’s host -- played a YouTube clip directed at conservative candidate Rick Santorum.

On the heels of the Pentagon’s historic repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell -- a move widely praised by advocates for equality everywhere -- a gay soldier was booed after asking a question about DADT during the Republican presidential debate in Orlando, Florida on Thursday night.

During the debate, Fox anchor Megyn Kelly -- who served as the debate’s host -- played a YouTube clip directed at conservative candidate Rick Santorum.

In the clip, Stephen Hill, a soldier in Iraq who, up until the repeal of DADT, had to "lie about who [he] was" in order to “not lose his job” and keep serving in the army.
