Disfigured Model Lauren Scruggs Bravely Reveals Amputated Limb

Instead of shying away from her injuries,  Lauren Scruggs has bravely showed off her amputated arm for the first time since a small plane propeller cut off her left hand four months ago.

Dressed in a green and black running outfit with a huge smile on her face, the 23-year-old fashion blogger/model was spotted shopping with her parents at a Plano, Texas, sports store this week, where she seemed unfazed by her missing limb and even used it to hang her small white purse from.

The healing continues for Lauren Scruggs.

The 23-year-old model & fashion blogger, who's yanked at the nation's heartstrings the past two months, has had her left eye fitted with a prosthetic eye, after she lost it when she walked into a live plane propeller December 3 in her native Texas. 

"She was fitted and measured,” her mother Cheryl Scruggs wrote Thursday on the Caring Bridge website, where the deeply religious family has updated the public on Lauren's condition since the accident. “The ocularist carefully painted and shaped the new eye."

Roger Ebert showed off his "new face," as he calls it when his Roger Ebert Presents At the Movies premiered Friday night, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

The courageous veteran film critic, who lost part of his jaw to thyroid cancer four years ago, is back with a silicone prosthetic chin that is strikingly realistic.

The experts he worked with "did a pretty wonderful job," Ebert, 68, wrote on his blog.

Most of the new PBS show is carried by two much younger reviewers, Christy Lemire and Ignatiy Yishevetsky.  Because Ebert still can't speak, his one review of the evening was done via voice-over with Roger typing away on his computer.

Regardless of the show's future, Ebert's candidness about his cancer and his brave battle against the disease have won him two thumbs up from fans everywhere.
