President Barack Obama is on a roll with ribbing Hollywood stars and David Beckham is the latest target of his jokes.

Becks and the L.A. Galaxy soccer team went to the White House on Tuesday where they were treated to some good natured ribbing from the POTUS.

“We also have a young up-and-comer on the team, a guy named David Beckham,” Barack said. “I have to say I gave David a hard time -- I said half his teammates could be his kids.”

President Barack Obama made an historic announcement on Wednesday that he believes same sex marriage should be allowed.

Speaking from the White House to ABC News’ Robin Roberts, Obama said he has changed his position and is now in favor of allowing same sex couples to get married.

“At a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married," the President said.

That’s star power.

Giffords’ courageous efforts to battle back from the brain injury she sustained when shot point blank in the head have inspired everyone around her.  A book about her recovery written by Giffords’ husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, is a best seller.

Giffords will be submitting her letter of resignation this week. One of her last acts as a member of Congress will be attending President Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, where she no doubt will be met by a standing ovation and thundering applause.

While in Los Angeles for two high dollar fundraisers the President stopped at a Los Angeles landmark, the famous Roscoe's Chicken 'N Waffles restaurant, for a quick, high calorie meal and surprised the customers.

With his jacket off and his shirt sleeves rolled up, the President greeted the excited customers in the restaurant, according to the pool report.

He shook hands with a young boy who reportedly said: "I’m never going to wash my hand again,” and watched the President make the rounds in the restaurant.
