Who says conventions are only for nerds. One of the coolest actors in the business Johnny Depp dropped into Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif., on Friday in unique style.
The actor made an entrance on a giant pirate ship and transformed himself into Jack Sparrow once more, donning full swashbuckling garb. The reason for the theatrics? Promoting the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and unveiling its title: Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
The movie will hit theaters in the summer of 2011.
Depp wasn’t the only big name at the event. He arrived minutes after Kermit and Miss Piggy ended their promotion of Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made.
In his typical eccentric fashion, he quipped “I'm looking for a talking Frog. I like frogs" before making his exit as 5,000 fans looked on in disbelief.
