Costa Cruise Ship Adrift In Pirate-Infested Waters

Another crisis has rocked the boat for the Costa Cruise corporation as more than a thousand people are floating adrift in a huge vessel owned by the company after a fire broke out on board causing them to lose power.
The Costa Allegra is sitting undefended in the Indian Ocean 200 miles from the Seychelles Islands off mainland Africa in an area that is notorious for being infested by modern-day pillaging pirates, reported ABCNews.com.
It is the second high-profile disaster for the cruise company that also owns the ill-fated Costa Concordia, which crashed off the coast of Italy on January 13.

The former husband of Jean Adam -- one of four people killed by pirates off the coast of Somalia -- has exclusively told RadarOnline.com: "We are in total shock at the moment."
Officials announced today Tuesday that Jean and her second husband Adam -- both of Marina Del Rey, California -- as well as Phyllis Macay and Bob Riggle were killed by pirates who had hijacked them off the coast of Somalia.

As the pirates who have terrorized merchant ships off the Somalia coast have made worldwide headlines with their antics in the past year, an international military coalition spearheaded by the U.S. Navy has made headway capturing them and stopping their hijackings.
Now, Spike and 44 Blue Productions chronicles those efforts in the one-hour special, U.S. Navy: Pirate Hunters, a documentary that gives the viewer unprecedented access aboard the U.S.S Gettysburg as it patrols the busy Gulf of Aden.
Viewers will see the dramatic, tension-filled and high-stakes military mission first-hand, as the coalition patrols the ocean, boards questionable vessels, engages in gun battles and seizes stolen goods and weapons.

Charlotte Lewis, the woman who came forward Friday and accused Roman Polanski of sexual abuse, said the filmmaker told her he slept with all of his actresses.

As RadarOnline.com reported exclusively, Lewis’ friend since childhood, Jon Jacobs, said the actress was beautiful but extremely vulnerable at the time she met Polanski.

Jacobs also emphatically said Lewis is “not a liar.”
Now Lewis has told London’s Mail on Sunday that Polanski told her, “If you’re not big enough to have sex with me, you’re not big enough to do the screen test. I must sleep with every actress that I work with. That’s how I get to know them, how I mold them.”

Polanski is currently under house arrest in Switzerland facing extradition to the United States.
Lewis told the Mail that she turned down Polanski’s advances when they first met in 1983 as she was going to audition for “Pirates.”

She told him she had a boyfriend and left Polanski’s apartment. But she came back later and won the role. Lewis says she never told her mother what happened. “I was just too ashamed,” she said.
The actress said she needed the money and has carried around the burden of being sexually abused by Polanski until she finally came forward Friday.

Her friend Jacobs told RadarOnline.com that he first heard about the charges a few month ago.
“I met Charlotte when I was 15 and she was 14 and we both used to go to the clubs and as gorgeous as she was, she was never promiscuous around me and didn’t sleep with the guys who were trying to get with her,” Jacobs told RadarOnline.com.

Charlotte Lewis is being defended in her allegations against Roman Polanski by a childhood friend who has spoken only to RadarOnline.com.

“A young girl who’s very attractive is just very attractive, it doesn’t mean she wants to have sex,” Jon Jacobs tells RadarOnline.com. “You know what I mean? Yes, she was there. She certainly went through it.”
Jacobs and Lewis were childhood friends in the UK, and he visited her on the set of Pirates, the film she shot with Roman Polanski directing.
Charlotte Lewis Dated Charlie Sheen
In an explosive press conference Friday, Lewis accused Polanski of sexually abusing her in his Paris apartment during the shoot. Lewis was then 16 years-old.

“She was young and out there on her own,” Jacobs, who visited his friend of the set, continues. “She didn’t have family with any experience. She was on her own in the world.”

After she wrapped the Polanski film, Charlotte landed in Hollywood. She was the IT girl, as Jacobs recalls.
“She came off Polanski and right into The Golden Child. Eddie Murphy was crazy about her.
“But I’ll tell you something, I met Charlotte when I was 15 and she was 14 and we both used to go to the clubs and as gorgeous as she was, she was never promiscuous around me and didn’t sleep with the guys who were trying to get with her.”
Jacobs says he first heard of Charlotte’s accusations against Polanski three or four months ago. “I’m not going to doubt her. She’s not a liar,” he says.
U.S. Officials Want Polanski Back For Sentencing
Jacobs isn’t certain why his friend waited so long to go public with her allegation but he has his theory.
“It’s probably something that she had to turn over in her mind many, many times. I’m realizing she’s like ‘f**k Hollywood’. That’s it. She doesn’t care any more.
“She wants it off her chest. That’s obviously what she’s doing.”
