Kristin Cavallari wants to set the record straight: She didn't cause the breakup between her Dancing with the Stars partner Mark Ballas and American Idol beauty Pia Toscano.
"I think that is so unfair to drag me into that!" the former star of The Hills told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM show Monday. "Why should I be dragged into Mark's drama?"

Mark Ballas and Pia Toscano have officially called it quits after several months of dating; the news comes on the heels of Star magazine’s exclusive report that Ballas has been hooking up with Kristen Cavallari, his new partner on Dancing with the Stars.
The pro ballroom dancer and the American Idol finalist had been making beautiful music together since hooking up last April.

It was lights, camera, action on Wednesday's American Idol, with the Top 8 finalsts all singing songs from movies.
Most of the contestants once again earned high praises from the judges, but perhaps Randy Jackson summed up this season’s mixed bag of talents the best, saying, “It makes me proud to sit here and judge artists as well as pop stars -- the world cannot live by pop stars alone.”
Other interesting plot twists on Wednesday's episode included a pair of contestants going with their artistic gut, against the advice of their show-appointed mentors; and Jennifer Lopez, still reeling from last week's shocking elimination of Pia Toscano, taking a stand for the remaining female finalists, saying, "I don't want any of the girls to go home."

American Idol's Pia Toscano tells Ellen Thursday that she and Dancing with the Stars hunk Mark Ballas are "just friends."

The teenager who claims to have been relegated to the back row at a filming of American Idol last week because she was “too big, too heavy” wants a public apology from people at the hit reality show, her father tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.
“I would like to see American Idol give her an open apology,” said Randy Kauffman. “She wants an apology and it should be a live apology, if that’s what it takes.”

As fans of Idol know, Toscano found herself in the bottom three for the first time last Thursday night, and was ultimately the one voted off, while Stefano Langone live to sing another day.
"I feel like it was a blessing in disguise, that has prepared me for this moment," Toscano, who’d auditioned for the show four previous times, told the morning duo. "It's been such a whirlwind.”
