Peter Lopez, the husband of Dukes of Hazard star Catherine Bach, took his own life at the couple's San Fernando Valley home in April and RadarOnline.com has listened to the tragic 911 call placed by Bach which reveals that the actress initially thought someone had murdered her husband.

Speaking to the dispatcher, Bach says in the call that she did not want to go outside where her husband was in fear that someone might shoot her ("No, I can't. I'm afraid that the person might shoot me and I have two little girls," Bach responded when asked if she was physically with the victim). She also references a robbery in the neighborhood a couple of days before.

Bach then says a housekeeper went out into the backyard to try and figure out what happened, reporting back that no weapons were laying around Lopez.

Later, a woman named Nancy who identifies herself as Catherine's assistant, gets on the phone: "We don't have any idea [if Lopez shot himself]. We just heard a thud and I think it could've even just been maybe he had a heart attack. He could've fallen and a branch broke, know what I mean? I just don't know. It's very possible that he just... That it was a branch breaking. It sounded like that to me. Somebody else said it sounded like a gunshot, but sounded more like a branch breaking, but I don't know."

The entertainment lawyer- who had worked with Michael Jackson and Michael Buble and had also helped establish the careers of Wilson Phillips, Vanilla Ice and Andrea Bocelli- shot himself in the head in the couple's backyard.
He left a one page suicide note. His death certificate confirmed that he died instantly.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house on Thursday at Dukes Of Hazzard star Catherine Bach’s husband’s funeral at Santa Monica Catholic Church, and RadarOnline.com has the moving photos.

Catherine’s husband, Peter Lopez, died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound at his Encino Hills home on the morning of Friday April 30.

Tragically, Lopez leaves behind two daughters, Sophia, 14 and Laura, 11. The girls were spotted leaning on their mom for support during the funeral service and not surprisingly, all three appeared inconsolable.

Lopez’s body was discovered on a hill in his back yard by a neighbor, who was alerted by the sound of gun shots.
Paramedics arrived on the scene at 11:26 AM, but did not transfer the body to the hospital because Lopez was already deceased.

60-year-old Lopez was said to be suffering from depression, though in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Lopez’s mother, Eleanor, expressed her shock at her son’s suicide, saying that her son did not seem depressed on the days leading up to his death.
A sentiment echoed by Catherine’s ex-Dukes Of Hazzard co-star, John Schneider – who told RadarOnline.com, “I saw him only 3 weeks ago, and he seemed fine. Never underestimate the hard times that we are in, especially if you are a parent.”

Dukes of Hazard star Catherine Bach’s husband Peter Lopez tragically penned a one page suicide note before shooting himself in the head, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The entertainment lawyer was found dead on Friday morning at his home in the San Fernando Valley in California.
A source from the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office revealed to RadarOnline.com: “Lopez pointed a gun at his head and pulled the trigger. The bullet went through and through his brain and he died instantly.

Dukes of Hazard star, Catherine Bach's husband, Peter Lopez was found dead Friday morning by his house, apparently from a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Friends and family of the entertainment lawyer are, not surprisingly, reeling from the news - saying that he showed no outward signs of depression, and trying to fathom what would tip him over the edge to the degree where he would choose to take his own life.

RadarOnline.com spoke exclusively with Lopez's mother, Eleanor, who told us, "I just can't believe it. Catherine called me just now, she said, 'Peter is dead.'
"Catherine said to me, 'Peter's not here anymore, he shot himself.' I can't believe it.
"I just can't believe it, I spoke to him just last night and he seemed fine. I've been in and out of the hospital lately and he has been calling me every night to check on me and make sure I'm OK.

Catherine Bach’s husband Peter Lopez, was found dead at his Encino, CA home Friday morning, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

Lopez, 60, was a highly regarded entertainment lawyer who did a significant amount of work for Michael Jackson. In a 2008 interview with The Guardian, he defended Jackson and said reports that the signer was broke were vastly overstated. “Neverland is not being auctioned off, it's simply that Michael has changed lenders,” he said. “This talk emerges from several journalists in the US who love to spin things in the most negative way possible. The facts are the facts and he's had some cash flow issues in the past, but it's all under control now.”
Lopez got his law degree from UCLA in 1974. in addition to his work as a lawyer, Lopez has also used his musical background and industry relationships to find and create new talent. He was instrumental in developing and managing the careers of Wilson Phillips, Vanilla Ice, and the world-famous Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli. He co-managed the enormously successful "Hell Freezes Over" reunion of the legendary rock group The Eagles in 1994

RadarOnline.com spoke to officers at the scene in Encino, CA. “At 11.30 this morning officers received a call,” Officer Cleon Joseph said. “We came here and to the backyard of the house and found Peter Lopez, 60-years-old, apparently deceased from self-inflicted wounds.
