Raffaele Sollecito is going to beat Amanda Knox to the punch in getting his tell-all book about their romance, murder convictions and release, into book stores.

Sollecito's Presumed Guilty will be on sale this fall from Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books.

The Knox memoir, for which she was advanced a stunning $4 million, was announced last month by HarperCollins but its publishing date is set for next spring.

Amanda Knox’s rumored autobiography is now a reality as the 24-year-old Seattle native’s stepmother, Cassandra, confirms to RadarOnline.com: “Yes, she does have a book deal.”

Publishing house Harper Collins also confirmed the news Thursday, announcing that they have signed a $4 million deal with the former murder inmate about her life behind bars.

Amanda Knox’s family is taking a stand against the Italian prosecutors who are determined to put her back in prison, and demanding an end to the “harassment” by lawyers determined to prolong “this terrible, painful incident."

The plea was in response to a 112-page appeal filed by prosecutor Giovanni Galati that seeks to overthrow the ruling that set Knox free and found her not guilty of the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher in 2007, reported ABCnews.com.

The 24-year-old is due to land in her home city around 5 p.m. local time and there are countless anxious friends and family waiting for her, many of which have been increasingly worried about her emotional well-being during the closing stages of the trial.

The murder conviction of Amanda Knox was overturned by an Italian court on Monday and she is free to leave prison and return to the U.S.

The verdict in the appeals case was announced on Monday at 9.50 p.m. local time.

Knox cried hysterically with joy as she heard the ruling in the medieval Perugia, Italy courtroom, as a crowd of up to a thousand people gathered in the piazza outside, some of whom were booing.

As supporters of Amanda Knox anxiously wait to hear if the appeal against her murder conviction is successful, the family of victim Meredith Kercher is speaking out.

The British student's sister, Stephanie Kercher, told a news conference in Perugia, Italy on Monday: "It is very difficult to keep her memory alive in all of this," reported The Telegraph in the U.K.

She went on to explain that forgiveness "does not come into it" at the moment. "It would be very difficult to forgive anything at this stage," said Stephanie.
