On Thursday, Qantas Airlines- the company Oprah Winfrey intends on using for the John Travolta-piloted flight for her audience- grounded its entire fleet of A380 Airbuses after a craft carrying more than 440 passengers and 26 crew members was forced to land when part of one of its engines disintegrated in mid-flight. Australian taxpayers are footing the $2.3 million bill for Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure, the upcoming 10-day televised visit from Oprah Winfrey and 450 of her crew members and studio audience, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Nobody does goodie bags like Oprah Winfrey.
The talk show maven Monday kicked off her 25th season opener by giving her audience a gift they'll never forget: she’s sending them to Australia -- and piloting the flight will be A-lister John Travolta.

Including the studio audience and crew members, Winfrey will bring about 450 people altogether on the trip, which will last about 10 days.

Art Garfunkel throws one helluva temper tantrum. If you catch the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Concert airing on TV later this month, you'll see Garfunkel and Paul Simon, swaying arm in arm, belting out some of their biggest hits from the Madison Square Garden stage.
But you wont see his ridiculous backstage meltdown, which occurred during the concert on October 29th, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Walking through the corridors of MSG, Garfunkel asked a show staffer for a tissue for his nose. "The staffer explained that they were late getting Art to the his holding room, but there was a bathroom on the way and he could stop in and grab one," a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

But that wasn't good enough for the Grammy winner. "He literally stopped walking and refused to go another step until he got a tissue," the source said. "He was behaving like such a child. He was very agitated and angry. And this is a guy who's been busted for marijuana possession! Shouldn't he be calmer?" our spy laughed.
The staffer tried to pacify the musical icon by grabbing some paper towel off another passing worker. No dice.
"I said a tissue," Garfunkel yelled at her, throwing it back in her direction. "Not paper towel! I don't want this." Finally, another staffer was sent sprinting to get Garfunkel his coveted tissue and he resumed walking.
The concert will air on HBO November 29th and will also feature Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and more. And if you see Garfunkel on the streets in the meantime, toss him some Kleenex!
