In honor of Father's Day some of NASCAR’s top drivers, including Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin and Ryan Newman, reflected on the holiday and what it means to be behind the wheel of a family, as well as their own interactions with their fathers.

Remember Ron Howard’s 1989 hit movie Parenthood? It featured a stellar cast including Steve Martin and a young Keanu Reeves. It touched our hearts with the stories of the Buckman family’s attempts at navigating the ups and downs of marriage, relationships, dating and of course parenting. Then Parenthood was back as a very short-lived sitcom in 1990 with none other than Leonardo DiCaprio and David Arquette. Well, Parenthood is on primetime yet again as a one hour drama premiering on NBC on March 2nd at 10pm ET.

NBC’s hottest stars got dressed in their best cocktail couture for The NBC Universal Winter Press Tour cocktail party, which was held at the Langham Huntington hotel in Los Angeles, California. Mel B spiced up a powdery, pink one-shoulder mini dress with dark, metallic accessories, resulting in a fiercely fashionable look.
Child actress Erika Christensen made a comeback a la mode, looking fiercely fuchsia in curve hugging number. Apparently Parenthood looks good on her!

Maura Tierney Drops Out Of Show To Undergo Cancer Treatment

Maura Tierney has left the NBC show Parenthood to undergo treatment for breast cancer.
Tierney, who revealed she had breast cancer in early July, has concluded that her cancer treatments will conflict with her filming schedule.
Tierney had filmed the pilot episode for the series, which was scheduled to premiere this month. But filming was delayed after a tumor was found in her breast, requiring surgery.
NBC have yet to announce a replacement for Tierney, who was slated to play Sarah Braverman in the rework of the 1989 Steve Martin comedy.

The eagerly awaited new NBC drama Parenthood premieres tonight. Produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer (and based on their movie of the same name from the 80s), it focuses on a struggling single mom (played by Lauren Graham of the beloved series Gilmore Girls) who moves back home with her parents. She and her three other siblings go through the challenges of life, relationships and raising kids together.
Maura Tierney Reveals She Has Breast Tumor

Former ER star Maura Tierney has reluctantly gone public with the news she has a breast tumor "which requires surgery," the actress said in a statement.
RadarOnline.com reported on July 10 that the start of production on Maura's new NBC series Parenthood was being postponed eight weeks while Tierney underwent a "medical evaluation."
But that announcement by NBC led to such rampant speculation about the exact nature of her illness, Maura decided to take control of the PR herself.
"In an effort to guard my privacy, it seems that the wording of NBC's press release has unfortunately caused some confusion and undue alarm about my life," Tierney said.
"I have discovered a tumor in my breast which requires surgery. I will not know either my exact diagnosis or course of treatment until that surgery is performed. My doctors have all assured me this is a very treatable condition. I'm very optimistic as to the outcome."
Maura starred on ER from 1999 to 2009. Her new show, Parenthood, has been pushed back to midseason with the anticipation Tierney will be able to rejoin the cast.

Maura Tierney is undergoing a "medical evaluation," a statement from NBC said Friday.
Shooting on her new series Parenthood has been postponed "for eight weeks due to medical evaluation that valued cast member Maura Tierney is undergoing," the statement read. "We are unable to release further details and ask that you respect her privacy at this time."
Tierney, 44, starred on ER from 1999 to 2009.
Ironically, one of Tierney's costars from the iconic medical drama, Deezer D is hospitalized and will undergo heart surgery next Tuesday.

Parenthood, which also stars Peter Krause, Erika Christensen and Dax Shepard, was to premiere in September. It's now tentatively pushed back until 2010.
