Taking a page out of Hollywood’s top humanitarian, Angelina Jolie’s book, Scarlett Johansson recently visited a refugee camp to “shed light on the crisis” and RadarOnline.com has video of the trip.
Visiting Dadaab, Turkana and Lodwar with Oxfam, Scarlett said: “It’s very touching to meet the people in the community and hear the stories, and it brings on a couple of emotions. Absolute shock, disbelief at the conditions at whiche these people are forced to live, and a feeling of a certain sense of community and humanity that’s ever present.”
Johansson, who has been an Ambassador of Oxfam since 2004, wrote on the Huffington Post “to not only highlight the crisis amongst Somali refugees but another global crisis affecting the entire Horn of Africa, the worst drought the area has seen in over 60 years.”
