Al Davis, one of the most powerful and polarizing figures in the history of professional football, died Saturday. He was 82.
Davis took the Raiders to three Super Bowl wins, battled the NFL in court six different times, and moved the team to Los Angeles and then back to Oakland.

Two football fans are in critical condition Sunday after a night of stunning violence at an NFL game in San Francisco.
On the field at Candlestick Park, in a pre-season exhibition game, were the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders.
