From the Opening Night of the Metropolitan Opera to the sweltering hot streets of Los Angeles, stars were out and about on Monday showing off their fab and drab style.

Kerry Washington scored herself the best look of the day, hitting the opening night of Das Rheingold at the MET in a gorgeous Grecian style Marchesa gown, which featured purple embroidered detail.  The leading lady couldn’t have looked more sexy or sophisticated in the off-the-shoulder creation, which was perfectly hued for her skin tone.

On Tuesday night, celebs got dressed to cure, for the 2009 Angel Ball in New York City. The event, which raises money for clinical medical research of leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers, attracted a lot of star power, and included performances from Robin Thicke and Estelle. Gossip Girl's Blake Lively rocked pal Victoria Beckham's super chic mini dress, pairing the structured frock with blue-tipped stilettos. Her best accessory, however, was beau Penn Badgley, who looked too cool for school in a black tuxedo.
