Homer, Marge, Bart and Lisa aren't going anywhere. The cast of The Simpsons has agreed to a new deal that will keep their iconic animated series on the air for two more seasons.

20th Century Fox Television, which produces the show, had wanted to slash the actors' salaries from $440,000 to $250,000 an episode. The voice actors -- including Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer -- balked,  and it looked like the show was headed for cancellation.

But crisis averted! The two parties found a middle ground late Friday. The Simpsons will remain on the Fox TV schedule at least through the 2012-2013 season.

Say it isn’t so!

Cartoon favorite, The Simpsons may finish at the end of the next series.

The future of the long-running animated sitcom is reportedly in jeopardy because of a dispute of salary negotiations between the six main voice actors – Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer - and studio 20th Century Fox Television, who have told the cast they must take a 45 percent pay cut.

The cast – who currently earn around $8 million each for 22 weeks work - had offered to take a 30 per cent cut in exchange for a small percentage of profits taken from global syndication and show-related merchandise.

Don’t have a cow, man!

Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson in the animated series The Simpsons, has been slapped with a lawsuit by an insurance company claiming that her ex-fiancé Stephen Brackett owes them money for which she is now responsible.

DOCUMENTS: See The Lawsuit Filed Against Nancy Cartwright

According to the lawsuit obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com, Stephen’s construction company, Brackett Construction, entered into a contract with Off Vine Restaurant in Los Angeles in 2009 – a project insured by American Safety Casualty Insurance Company.

The plaintiffs allege that “Nancy Cartwright and Stephen E. Brackett were active members in the Church of Scientology and that [he] diverted contract funds from the Off Vine Restaurant Project to the Church of Scientology.”

Sadly, Stephen committed suicide in May of 2009, resulting in Brackett Construction filing bankruptcy, going out of business and defaulting on its obligations to Off Vine Restaurant.

The documents state that Nancy “had a financial interest in Brackett Construction,” thus leaving her liable.

American Safety Casualty Insurance is seeking $260,011.49 for their net loss in the Off Vine Restaurant project as well attorney fees and expenses.

The plaintiffs attorney Richard S. Busch confirmed to RadarOnline.com that the woman named in the suit is in fact the Nancy Cartwright that lends her voice to Bart Simpson.

Hollywood helped make Scientology famous, and the church claims its membership is "most definitely in the millions in the U.S.," according to spokesman Tommy Davis.  Yet the American Religious Identification Survey lists the number of Scientologists as just 25,000 in 2008.  That was just one of the stunning findings in a blockbuster New York Times article on the growing number of members defecting from the controversial religion.

"The church works hard to cultivate public members -- especially celebrities like Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Nancy Cartwright -- whose money keeps it running," the article states.  But even Hollywood is starting to turn its back on Scientology.  As RadarOnline.com reported last year, Oscar-winning writer/director Paul Haggis of Crash fame, bolted after 35 years.

None of the celebrities talked to the NY Times about Scientology but a number of long-term members who have recently left, did.  They consistently tell of an "oppressive" atmosphere, "living in fear," and for members of the top-tier Sea Org, not being allowed to have children.
