Shania Twain married Saturday night in Puerto Rico, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

The country superstar married Frederic Thiebaud at sunset "in front of 40 of their closest family and friends," reports People.

The wedding closed the door on the saddest and most tumultuous time in Shania's life as she begins her new life with Frederic.

Her first marriage, to music producer Mutt Lange ended in 2008 when Shania reportedly discovered he was having an affair with her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud.  The Thiebauds also split amid the revelations, and their respective heartache brought Shania and Frederic together.

Shania and Mutt's divorce was finalized in June, and she announced her engagement to Frederic soon after, calling him "a true gift to me."
