The former leadoff hitter for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies has been sentenced to three years in prison in connection with his no contest plea to charges of grand theft auto, and providing a false financial statement, in California.

Former major league baseball star Lenny Dykstra launched into a profanity-filled tirade with racist undertones while denying a porn star's claim that he bounced a $1,000 check for her "companionship".

"F**k that wh**e!" Dykstra, 47, told a RadarOnline.com reporter when confronted with Monica Foster's assertion that she spent December 13 with him at a hotel in Beverly Hills and got a bounced check for her time.

Foster provided a copy of the bounced check.

"He is a coward. I know in his eyes, he just screwed over a hooker and he thinks he can just treat people like crap because he was once a big name," said Foster, who's starred in X-rated titles such as Not The Cosbys XXX and Flava of Lust.

“I hope that by going public with this, his escort supply is cut off. I hope everyone can see that he is just worthless.”

RadarOnline.com’s repeated requests for comment to Dykstra's attorney, Moshe Mortner, have been declined. The baseball star "couldn't be reached for comment”, we were told.

Foster told RadarOnline.com that Dykstra -- who carved out his baseball legacy as a speedy leadoff hitter for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies -- "obviously has some money, because when I met him he was staying in a beautiful Beverly Hills hotel.

“I have tried to get him to pay me after his check bounced," she said, after posting a copy of the check online.

Foster said she tried to contact Dykstra over and over again via text messages and phone calls, but he evaded contact with her on multiple occasions.

“I am not going to try to contact him anymore," she said.

"He gave me a fake name when I met him, and eventually came clean as to who he was, because he wanted to seem impressive... if I had known who he was I wouldn't have gone with him. He is in so much financial trouble.”

Dykstra's financial troubles have been well-documented: his magazine, Player's Club, went out-of-business in early-2009, while his $18 million Thousand Oaks estate was foreclosed on shortly after.

In a story reminiscent of Charlie Sheen's meltdown with Capri Anderson, adult film actress Monica Foster is claiming that retired baseball player-turned-businessman Lenny Dykstra wrote her "a bad check in the amount of $1000" for her companionship, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Foster uploaded a stinging YouTube video explaining her experience with the ex-New York Met, as well as a blog in which she posted a copy of the alleged bounced check with Dykstra's signature on it.

Foster wrote on a blog, "the amount agreed upon PRIOR to meeting was not initially to be paid via a check and absolutely no illegal or sexual activity occurred... I was hired strictly as his companion to have drinks and conversation with that morning.
