The FBI’s dossier on Tinsel town’s top secret poker ring identifies Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire as the shadowy club’s “best player” and includes allegations some players often indulged in illicit drug use.

The sensational files on the sophisticated and organized illegal poker group were started after Los Angeles-based agents spoke to crooked hedge fund manager Bradley L. Ruderman.

The FBI’s dossier on Tinsel town’s top secret poker ring identifies Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire as the shadowy club’s “best player” and includes allegations some players often indulged in illicit drug use.

The sensational files on the sophisticated and organized illegal poker group were started after Los Angeles-based agents spoke to crooked hedge fund manager Bradley L. Ruderman.

As part of his confession to a $44 million Ponzi scheme, Star has learned Ruderman ratted out his one-time opponents and spilled the details of their clandestine games, which were held at the homes of players or in five-star hotels in Beverly Hills, such as The Four Seasons.

Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig has ordered New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez to appear before investigators over allegations -- first published in Star magazine -- that he played an illegal poker game where cocaine was openly used and another which turned violent.

"We take this very seriously and have been investigating this matter since the initial allegation," an MLB spokesperson told Star, in an exclusive statement.

"As part of the investigation, the Commissioner's Office will interview Mr. Rodriguez."

RadarOnline.com has obtained a legal response that Maguire filed on July 5, 2011, to a lawsuit that was filed against him for money he’d won from convicted Ponzi schemer Brad Ruderman, and included copies of checks to prove he both won and lost money during the illegal poker ring games, putting him about even with Ruderman.

Not only does Maguire, 36, label his two checking accounts as “Poker Account” and “Poker Account (2)”, but the actors checks included as evidence in his legal response give an eye-opening look at just how often he was playing poker and dishing out money for his hobby.
