In case you weren’t paying attention, Moby has been running a contest on his website mobygratis.com for all his fans, to create a video for his upcoming single, “Wait For Me.”
The votes are in and Nimrod Shapira from Israel created the winning video which is very cute.
Moby, who picked the winner, said about the contest: "'when we announced the 'wait for me' video competition i thought we'd have around 30 or 40 entries. Instead we received 500 entries and most of them are amazing. i'm stunned at how many good entries we received.”

Ten years after the release of his mega-successful album, Play, Moby is back with an album that’s less for the masses and more for himself.
Moby: “It’s the first time in a while that I’ve made a record that I’d actually really want to listen to,” Moby tells RadarOnline. “I hope that doesn’t sound too narcissistic. I can appreciate big, brash, loud pop records, but I don’t have a place for that in my life.”

Here’s the first look at Moby’s new video for Shot in The Back Of the Head -- directed by the legendary David Lynch, of Blue Velvet fame. Moby’s CD, Wait for Me, doesn’t drop until 6/30 but this vid shows Lynch and Moby definitely found creative common ground.
The artist went full-on DIY, recording it in his home studio, and even drawing the album's cover art with marker on a printer (a really cute alien dude.)
