EXCLUSIVE: Miss California Officials Say Carrie Prejean Never Paid Back Money For Breast Augmentation & Tried To Get Director Fired

It is the beauty battle that still has legs one year later. The Miss California Pageant has filed suit against former beauty queen Carrie Prejean, alleging she never paid them back for her surgery and tried to get the pageant director fired.

"In January, 2009, Ms. Prejean and K2 Productions entered into an oral agreement whereby K2 Productions agreed to loan Ms. Prejean money to pay for breast augmentation surgery so that she (in her opinion) would be more competitive at the Miss USA 2009 pageant. Ms. Prejean agreed that she would repay the loan, and proceeded to have her desired breast augmentation surgery. The idea for Ms. Prejean to have the breast augmentation surgery came from Ms. Prejean herself, not from K2 Productions or the Miss Universe Organization," the papers said.

Echoed pageant director Keith Lewis in an exclusive statement to RadarOnline.com: "Carrie Prejean asked us for the breast augmentation because she felt it would make her more competitive in the Miss USA pageant. She asked for the money and never paid it back. The surgery cost $5,200."

The papers also state that on June 4, 2009, Prejean e-mailed Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart in support of two of the show's producers taking over the organization. "And to add insult to injury, Ms. Prejean said her recommendation was 'Just from me to you' - obviously because she was not telling Mr. Lewis that she was seeking to have K2 Productions replaced as the Miss California USA franchise holder," the papers added.

"To us it's outrageous what happened," Prejean's attorney, Charles S. LiMandri, told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "There's no doubt in our
minds, that if she had answered that question at the Miss USA pageant differently she'd probably still be Miss USA right now, but she'd definitely still be Miss California."

The blonde, booted from her spot as Belle of California for allegedly failing to comply with pageant mandates in her scheduling, turned up to a behatted horse race in Del Mar, Ca. on Friday.

Carrie Prejean's Camp Issues Ultimatum To Miss California USA Official
Posted on Jun 19, 2009 @ 07:46AM - Add a comment

Carrie Prejean's lawyer Charles LiMandri Thursday said Miss California USA executive director Keith Lewis must retract statements he made that "tarnished" the San Diego beauty's name and caused her to suffer "severe emotional distress," or face the consequences of a defamation lawsuit.
LiMandri said that Lewis is a "gay activist" who engineered Prejean's firing as the Miss California USA representative; Lewis has said the 22-year-old blond was canned over "many, many, many things" -- most notably no-showing scheduled public appearances.
Limandri said that Lewis' requests were off-putting to the outspokenly conservative Prejean.
"She did not think it was appropriate for her to accept Mr. Lewis' invitation to attend a gay documentary in Hollywood promoting same-sex
marriage," LiMandri said. "It was not my client's job, as Miss California, simply to help your client promote his personal or business interests as a Hollywood agent and producer, or gay activist."
Lewis said the owner of the pageant is skeptical of the claims Prejean and her associates have made.
"Mr. LiMandri obviously has never watched The Apprentice if he believes that Mr. Trump could be so easily fooled," Lewis said. "Facts are facts, and we stand by them."

EXCLUSIVE: The Secret E-Mails Behind Carrie Prejean's Firing; Plus Her Lawyer Speaks Out
Posted on Jun 16, 2009 @ 08:58AM - Add a comment

Former Miss California Carrie Prejean is fighting back against the Miss California pageant organizers. "Keith Lewis tried to set Carrie up and the way he did it is despicable," Carrie’s lawyer Charles LiMandi tells RadarOnline.com. He says that Carrie shouldn’t have lost her crown, and he suspects ulterior malicious motives from the pageant officials!

The Miss CA USA saga is far from over as the de-throned beauty queen considers legal action against the pageant director. "Carrie is looking at all of her options and definitely considering taking legal action against the Miss California USA pageant,” her lawyer tells RadarOnline.com. “There is a long statute of limitations so she doesn't have to do anything right now but she is absolutely looking into this and she isn't afraid to go all the way to trial with this case.” However, the 22 year old blonde pageant queen may not sue if the money starts rolling in. LiMandi explains what is going to stop her from suing, “She has told me that she has had thousands of requests for speaking engagements and quite a few job offers, so she may not find it in her best interest to sue after all, it just depends on the career decision she makes."
One of the major sticking points in the controversy was the book deal that Carrie was working on. Her lawyer explained to us that while Carrie has hired a literary publicist, she has not signed a book deal. LiMandi was emailing with the Trump office the Monday before Carrie was fired. “Mr. Trump supported her writing a book,” he tells RadarOnline.com. “He was in the process of writing an amendment to her contract to allow her to write the book when Carrie was fired. We were surprised to hear that that was one of the reasons she was fired.”
As for the claims by the pageant officials that Carrie was was making appearances in violation of her contract, her lawyer denies that claim and tells RadarOnline.com that her appearance for Shape Magazine was set up by Mr. Trump. “That’s the kind of thing Keith Lewis is saying she did as a breach of her contract, but that isn’t true.”
Carrie's lawyer tells RadarOnline.com that the published nasty email exchange Carrie had with Keith Lewis was a mistake that the beauty queen made after Lewis denied her request to visit the troops on the USS Ronald Reagan. "Carrie was frustrated and upset and she sent those emails in the heat of the moment. She knows they weren't nice but she was very upset and felt that Mr. Lewis was not treating her fairly."
“She wanted to go down and meet the troops on the USS Ronald Reagan and Keith Lewis wouldn’t give her immediate approval so she asked Mr. Trump and he intervened and asked Keith what the problem was and he said he was still thinking about it and Trump told him it was a no brainer. So she did that and it was a big hit. Visiting the troops was an honor for her, as Miss California and as Carrie Prejean.”
Even though the beauty queen doesn’t have her crown, all of her ill will is towards Keith Lewis, and not Donald Trump, the owner of the pageant. "Carrie and Donald have spoken several times since she was fired and he has told her that he was only going by what he was told by the pageant director Keith Lewis, but we feel that Keith lied to get his own way and to get rid of Carrie."

Since she was fired from her post as Miss California, Carrie Prejean has been on the defensive, pegging much of her current woes on the controversial answer on gay marriage she gave during the Miss USA competition. But Keith Lewis, director of the Miss California organization, says their headaches with the beauty queen began long before she took the national stage.
