EXCLUSIVE: Father Of Slain Victim Talks Out About Latest Cathouse Murders Arrest

Gary Gardner, the stepfather of Millie Barrera, one of the four tragic victims slain last November in what was dubbed “The Cathouse murders,” is speaking out about the arrest yesterday of one of the alleged perpetrators.
In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Gardner shared that the arrest has brought back painful memories for everyone. He also said that although he was glad the alleged murderer of his daughter was alive to face justice, part of him wishes he was dead.

“I’m so happy that the police have finally caught the man they believe was the mastermind behind the killings,” Gardner told RadarOnline.com. “He has a history of committing crimes, with a long criminal record behind him, and was a cage fighter like the other guy they already arrested.”

The alleged murderer, Denny Phillips, was captured Monday after a violent shoot out with police outside of a Tulsa motel. Phillips, who was shot three times in the exchange of fire, was taken to a hospital where he remains in critical condition, though he is expected to survive.

Gardner told RadarOnline.com that the shoot out and Phillips subsequent capture brought out mixed emotions in him. “I am not feeling any sense of relief,” Gardner said. “I mean I was glad on the one hand that he was alive so we could hear what happened to my daughter and the others, and why, but the father in me wished they had killed him.”

Tulsa police say they became aware of Phillips when an informant told Sergeant Mike Huff that Phillips was trying to sell two guns – guns that Huff recognized as having been stolen from his home during a break-in last week.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma County District Attorney, David Prater said Phillips has been a person of interest in the deaths of Casey Barrientos, Jennifer Ermey, Millie Barrera and star of the HBO reality series Cathouse Brooke Phillips. The four were found dead on November 9 after being shot, stabbed, slashed and set on fire inside an Oklahoma City home. Barrera and Phillips were also pregnant at the time of the murders.
Gardner is happy that they finally have Phillips in custody, but said, "My daughter and her unborn baby, along with the other victims, deserve justice.”

David Allen Tyner, 28, who is currently being housed in Oklahoma County Jail after being charged with six counts of murder, claims he is ‘holding-up’ despite all the publicity surrounding the shocking house fire.

Tyner’s friend, and former cage fighting promoter Jason Nicholson, told RadarOnline.com: “David called his mom last night and she told me that he was holding-up fine despite of everything.

“He is maintaining that he’s not guilty of the crimes that he has been accused of and he knows that he has a lot of people rooting for him.”
RadarOnline.com uncovered the partial autopsy reports detailing two of the victims Millie Barrera and TV hooker Brooke Phillips who were both pregnant when they were killed.
Barrera’s cause of death is listed as ‘perforating gunshot wounds to back and head and Phillip’s as ‘perforating gun shot wound to the head.”

Despite the reports findings - in what the police believe is a drugs related crime – Nicholson is adamant that his friend never took illegal substances and that he never saw him with a gun.
He added: “He wasn’t into drugs and I would be interested to know if any of the victims had drugs in their systems.
“All the time I knew him I never saw him firing off guns and although he has been charged by the police people should not assume that he is automatically guilty of these crimes.”
Tyner voluntarily gave himself up to the police after another witness told detectives that he had seen him inside the house in Oklahoma City prior to the shootings and subsequent fire.

Tyner was a two time state champion wrestler and a state- runner-up at Locust Grove High School as a senior in 2000 – he also wrestled at the University Of Tennessee Chatanooga and later joined the Marine Corps and served in Iraq.
Tyner then became a cage fighter and completed a 6-1 record in mixed martial arts fighting bouts in Oklahoma and Kansas City in 2006 and 2007 and was due to take part in another fight next month.
Brooke Phillips Likely At Wrong Place At Wrong Time, Read Search Warrant
One of the two identified victims was Brooke Philips, 22, who starred in HBO's popular Cathouse series.
She was a licensed prostitute at the Nevada brothel and was taking time off from the Moonlite Bunny Ranch because she was pregnant.
Jason Nicholson previously told RadarOnline.com that he though his friend suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after serving in Iraq.
