The cast of Jersey Shore was among the many stars at Sunday’s MTV Video Music award, but one member of the gang was noticeably absent -- Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. The reason? He says Hurricane Irene.

MTV flew the cast by private jet to Los Angeles early Saturday to make sure they’d be at the show. Vinny Guadagnino told MTV news: “MTV did whatever they could to get us out of here. We wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

For some reason, Mike didn’t take the flight, but he did send a tweet apologizing for missing the show. The Sitch tweeted: “I wish I could be at the VMA’s but all the flights were grounded because of the hurricane….thanks again for always having my back! For all the Haters who are mad by what really happened, keep hating!”

That’s amore!

The cast and crew of Jersey Shore hit their Motherland for season 4 of the hit MTV show, and RadarOnline.com has a preview for you.

Even though the gang is on new soil, the antics are the same. This season promises romance, heartbreak, fist pumps, fist fights and of course an arrest or two.

“She always loved music and really wanted to surprise her fans with her own little song,” Stein tells RadarOnline.com.

A fan of the Jersey Shore, Stein produced an ode to Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino with the song “The Situation Rap”.

Stein hopes to have Angelina’s first single out by the beginning of October.

Singer Michael Bolton is making a comeback – on the dance floor!
