CFDA Awards Star Styles: Uber Fab and Super Bad!
Posted on Jun 16, 2009 @ 09:30AM - Add a comment
The CFDA Awards took center stage in New York's fashion scene last night, with top American designers, celebrities, socialites and supermodels merging at Lincoln Center to tote the accomplishments and contributions made to American fashion by the industries' most influential and statement-making experts.
Marc Jacobs scooped up the International Award for his contribution to Louis Vuitton. Rodarte designers, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, took home the most prized Womenswear Designer of the Year Award, and Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough (recently bloodied by a Kiefer Sutherland headbutt) nabbed the accessories award. For the Emerging Talent Award, celebrity red carpet favorite Alexander Wang picked up the prize.
While the CFDA Awards are about the designers and industry insiders, everyone was looking to see who dressed who and what they were wearing.
Supermodel Heidi Klum showed off her high-end style in a silver-crushed lame Michael Kors asymmetrical mini, Diane Kruger also went mini in a flashy-yet-classy body-hugging Jason Wu belted number, Blake Lively scored high style points in a neon pink Michael Kors sheath dress with pockets, and more!

Although it was a fashion affair, some stars missed the style mark. Victoria's Secret Angel Doutzen Kroes wore a long, red Zac Posen gown that resembled a flamenco dancer's number, Park Avenue gal Fabiola Beracasa turned a fab Proenza Shouler number into a freaky, feathery costume, Michelle Trachtenberg looked stuffed into a Behnaz Sarafpour ensemble, and more!

Style Radar: Faboo or Faux Pas? Grecian Looks and Metallic Numbers
Posted on Jun 15, 2009 @ 12:34PM - Add a comment
Hollywood's A-listers turned it out around the globe this weekend in single-shoulder Grecian goddess gowns, flashy metallic frocks, and bold shouldered blazers. So where in the world was the most faboo ensemble: Shanghai, Berlin, Nice, London, New York, or L.A.?
Halle Berry never disappoints in the red carpet style department, and stunned at the Shanghai International Film Festival in a single-shoulder lilac chiffon Marchesa gown, complete with silver crystal embroidery on the bodice.
Also donning single-shoulder numbers, Megan Fox sizzled in a very revealing thigh-high slit crimson Roberto Cavalli gown at the Transformers premiere in Berlin, while reality darling Kim Kardashian worked a white Grecian-belted getup at the airport in Nice, France.
Red Carpet veterans Jennifer Aniston and Jodie Foster both went fashion forward in metallic minis for the Women In Film Crystal and Lucy Awards in Los Angeles. Aniston traded in her LBD's for a strapless, metallic Prada number and Silence of the Lambs star Jodie Foster opted for a daring, grey satin Armani. Following the trend, Michelle Trachtenberg showed up glittering in a mature Reem-Acra gold sequin, leaf-print dress.
At the same event, former Singled Out babe Jenny McCarthy showed her milf-y ways in a strong-shouldered, crisp white suit (still showing off her kids, though)! Rocking a similar white blazer, but with a more casual approach, ravishing Rihanna paired one in New York with black-dye jeans.
Kelly Osbourne also hit our list working an 80s punk look in London with a statement teal blazer and her usual hodgepodge of accessories.

Michelle Trachtenberg Finds The Model Man
Posted on Mar 04, 2009 @ 03:59PM - Add a comment

It's tough out there for a young Hollywood starlet to find a sexy, well dressed, and very understanding man. Michelle Trachtenberg took a different approach last night at Old Navy's party at 1OAK nightclub in New York, clutching onto a male "supermodelquin".
The mannequins are representations of celebrities featured in the company's new advertising campaign. Who could resist? A source on the scene tells RadarOnline.com, "Michelle was super cute and flirty. She came directly from shooting and was a really good sport. She was blowing
kisses and having fun!"
