Lady Gaga is performing live tonight on American Idol but we have learned exclusively that David Cook pre-taped his spot two weeks ago citing "a personal family matter." Remember last week ….finalist Michael Sarver was eliminated from AMERICAN IDOL. OUCH!

It appears eliminated American Idol contestant, Michael Sarver, will not be heading back to work on the oil rigs in Texas.
Sarver told Ryan Seacrest, on his KIIS radio program this morning, he’s heading back home to begin work on an album of his own music.
The singer wouldn’t have had much time for rigging right now anyway. Being in the top 10 means he’ll hit the road for the American Idol tour after the show’s finale.

Only one person can win American Idol, but making the top ten still has its perks: a spot on the show's lucrative summer tour.
"I didn't know my situation if I had to go back home without the tour... things are not easy right now," finalist Michael Sarver told the AP. "This says I have work this year. It's a blessing."
The tour, which usually encompasses 50-60 dates over the course of three months, begins following the show's May 20 finale.
