Actress and avid humanitarian Mia Farrow has ended a 12-day hunger strike in support of embattled nation Darfur.
The once-Woody Allen bride has long been a proponent of the country and its population, and announced Friday on her blog that a hunger strike to raise awareness could not continue for health reasons.
"My blood sugar levels were so low," she said of her condition, which doctors felt could lead to seizures.
"I had hoped to go 16 days, because...there are 16 humanitarian agencies expelled from Darfur."
