Jon Gosselin had a fun filled Saturday hosting a pool party at The MGM Grand Hotel's Wet Republic and RadarOnline.com has video from the event.

There was no sign of Jon's date for the weekend, his mother, as he relaxed poolside flanked by a bevy of bikini clad beauties. Jon seemed particularly enamored with one girl as he turned to his right talking and laughing with her.

Reclining in his cabana, smoking and chatting with the ladies Jon looked every bit the bachelor and far from a stressed out father of eight.

But he did take time to talk about his children on the red carpet earlier in the day. When asked how the twins enjoyed their first day at school Jon said, "They called me and they said it was good. They were excited it was their first time on a bus."

Meanwhile Kate was entertaining her bodyguard and his family at her Wernersville, PA, home.

The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star is hosting a pool party in Las Vegas this weekend at MGM Grand’s Wet Republic but sources in Sin City tell RadarOnline.com exclusively that Jon says he won’t talk to the media on the Red Carpet.

The reason? It depends on who you believe. One source told RadarOnline.com that Jon says he doesn’t want to answer certain questions. (We could fire off 20 of those before taking a breath!) But another source says Jon want$ to be paid for any media interviews.

Either way, he’s still going to have to talk at the pool party. And sources say he may grab a microphone on the Red Carpet and say a few words but there won’t be any give-and-take with the media, which is usually expected at these events.

Jon has taken a bit of a beating in the press, as wife Kate has repaired her image and garnered much public sympathy. Her tearful Today show interview, followed by a strong performance on Larry King Live portrayed her as a caring mom completely focused on her children. Jon, however, has been linked with various women and partied publicly.

That apparently won’t stop in Las Vegas. RadarOnline.com hears from Las Vegas sources that a group of Jon’s friends from Pennsylvania are coming into town and while Jon will publicly appear with his mom, his pals are planning on partying with him well into the night.

America's favorite dad is heading to Las Vegas for a little fun in the sun and will be hosting poolside at MGM Grand's Wet Republic."

The party is set for August. 29..

Jon will be in Vegas along with Christian Audigier to attend MAGIC, a clothing industry trade show. (He debuted his relationship with 22-year-old Hailey Glassman on the Ed Hardy designer's yacht in the South of France last month.)
