Former 70s teen heartthrob Leif Garrett was released from jail Wednesday morning following his arrest earlier this week on drug charges, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The one-time actor/singer was arrested Monday morning at the Metrolink station in downtown Los Angeles for possession of a controlled substance. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed to RadarOnline.com that they found black tar heroin in his shoe.

Garrett, 48, wasn’t able to make bail until early Wednesday -- and was released at 1:34 a.m. today.

Garrett's been busted on the Metro Red Line before. In 2006, the former idol was stopped for riding without a ticket, but authorities then found  heroin and Quaaludes on him. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
