Sinead O'Connor has canceled her 2012 tour due to mental illness, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Nothing Compares 2 U singer raised red flags last year with her bizarre Twitter rants where she spoke of suicide and depression, and then married Barry Herridge in December, split up with him, and then got back together.
"With enormous regret I must announce that I have to cancel all touring for the year as am very unwell due to bipolar disorder," Sinead announced on her official website.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck will be able to sleep easier at night now after their alleged stalker was sent to a mental institution on Tuesday.

Jane Robison, spokesperson for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office tells RadarOnline.com, "Steven Richard Burky, pleaded no contest today to two counts of felony stalking. Judge Katherine Mader then found him not guilty by reason of insanity and sentenced him to Patton State Hospital. Deputy District Attorney Wendy Segall said the judge made her ruling based on reports from two psychiatrists who examined Burky."

The judge also issued a 10 year restraining order preventing Burky from getting any closer than 500 yards to Ben, Jennifer or their two children if or when he is released.

It should have been her big night, but instead of being at the premiere of her new movie, The Homecoming, in New York Thursday night, actress Mischa Barton was undergoing psychiatric evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Police were called to Barton’s home in Los Angeles earlier Thursday, just hours before she was supposed to fly to New York for the premiere.
