Thousands of Elvis Presley fans from around the world have flocked to Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee to commemorate the the 34th anniversary of his death Tuesday.

Impersonators were aplenty at the Elvis epicenter, as many left wreaths, flowers and other condolences for the late King, who died August 16, 1977.

The gathering is an annual tradition of Elvis Week, which also features a procession in memorial of the iconic singer.

A 17-year-old Memphis, Tennessee boy Thursday was with charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his school principal, whose lifeless body was found in a classroom at the Memphis Junior Academy, the private school she presided over.

Eduardo Marmolejo is accused of plotting his attack on the 49-year-old victim, Suzette York.

Marmolejo told investigators he did not like the principal, and had mapped out his deadly plan since May, according to an affidavit obtained Wednesday by The Commercial Appeal. The paper said Marmolejo centered his plan around a time he knew he'd be alone with York.

“I grew up in a small town 100 miles from Memphis, and that informed not only my musical taste, but how I look at life,” said the 48-year-old single mom.

“The drive to Memphis is all farmland, and everyone is community-oriented, God-fearing people, connected to the earth. The music that came out of that part of the world is the biggest inspiration for what I do and why I do it.”

Crow’s latest compilation of soon-to-be classic tracks is influenced by musical greats such as Al Green, Sly and the Family Stone and Stevie Wonder.

Her new single, ‘Summer Day,’ is reminiscent of her legendary 1996 hit, ‘If It Makes You Happy.’

“I wanted to experiment with writing something simple and positive,” she explained. “The feeling of a great, solid love - not just a new love, but something everlasting.”
